It was my choice in the build thread and still is. As things are evolving though it now looks like I will stay with TB but on an F90. Not because I’m liking the G82 less now, it’s other reasons.

It is indeed a lovely color. Is it just me of BMW is sticking with the black colored wheel?

Dark colors make this car less awful. Sad statement but its functionally accurate.

It just me or do the rear rims look small, and subsequently do the tires look like they are sitting several inches inside the fender flare??

I want to like Tanzanite...I really do...but for some reason I can't do it. Granted I've only seen it in person once and it was a cloudy day so I didn't get a great look.

It just looks...basic?

I thought the same...

Accept when you see it detailed; night or day.

The color does pop especially with the sparkle flakes
In the paint

What changed your mind? I've actually warmed up to the F90 recently, no one can't argue that it's not a Swiss army knife of the M lineup. They're going to be great value in the used market in a few years IMO.

Just new inventory planning . The G82 was going to be my wife’s daily the first two years when I would take it. Now I’m leaning towards getting back more into motorcycles so my wants are less important for the car and my wife prefer the M5 at this point. That might change after test drives but it might also be that we just grow impatient and go for the M5 in the next weeks

Love it and the color. People must stop installing that front license plate. Especially the euro version. Must be the law there?

Although I agree the exhaust should be blacked out, it kind of looks good with those 4 bit tips and seeing a bit of the silver behind the lower valance.

Great comparison!

G80 wins. Note: Those black trim laser light really elevates the aggressiveness of the G8X fascia. Must have IMO. The deep dish wheels further move the needle in the G80’s favor.

G80 all around looks much more up to date. Always something that won't be perfect but this car looks fantastic in this colour.

No wonder these wheels look so normal, they aren't staggered. They are the 829M in 19" in Front & Rear

You need to see it in the sun.

I have TB2 on our M340i and live in Seattle area. I agree this paint deserves a sunny weather location. I still think it's great and don't mind the flat appearing dark blue in overcast light, but it is super amazing in the sun. Fwiw paint care is similar to black, so there's that too. If I get a G80 I don't think I will do TB2 again.
