Small front plate fitting.

I have a M3 G80 and wondering if any of you have short front number plates fitted and if so did you remove the OE number plate bracket and fit with some sort of clips ?
Thanks

Do you mind me asking when yours arrived in the UK? Mine was last. heard of at the German port last Monday and I haven't heard since.

If coming into Southampton, it's most likely on the Autostar ship, left Cuxhaven yesterday.

It's the only ship that seems to go between Cuxhaven and Southampton atm (roughly once every 10 days or so).

Mine has a short plate and removed the orginal holder, to secure the plate I used two of the holder screw through the plate into the grill between the gloss bars.

Hi all, finally got the dealer holes filled and retextured (£138). I know it looks better without a plate but I didn’t want any drama with the police and we have an ANPR camera at work which opens the car park so it just makes life easier having a plate fitted. The way we’ve fitted the plate means I can remove the plate for shows etc and you wouldn’t know.

Looks Great!
You mind me asking where you had the holes filled in?

I have told them strictly not to attach the number plates or clean the car, but am preparing for them to do both

Here you go:-

https://completecarcosmeticsderby.co.uk/

Great service, had the car for a day and is a walkable distance from Derby city centre, so plenty to do while you wait.

Have you looked at FourDotdesignerplates.co.uk? Bit pricy but I used them for smaller plates for my RS5 and am planning on buying their M3 design plates for my M3 which arrives March/April.

I know their stuff is good quality. I’m planning on asking the dealer not to put the plinth on the front so I can just install these without needing to fill drilled holes etc

Hi

I found a local repair shop that could do interior plastic repairs and approached them to see if they’d do it. Essentially it just needed filling and the texturing. Then the new screws were screwed in between the thin slats so you can’t see them if they need to be removed.
