whatever though, yellow is totally legal and they look amazing so there really isn't any reason to ever return it to stock. |

I’m getting caught up in this thread, so apologies if this was said already.
1.) What’s the consensus on the best plug and play yellow DRL of choice? Motorsport+? 2.) Do any of these options throw codes? Do I need to be worried about messing up my warranty? 3.) Is there a plug and play option out there that will allow me to go from yellow to white and vice versa? I think the answer is VinylDesigns2 but it’s not out yet from what I understand. |

Icedriver (the most popular vendor on AliExpress for the yellow drl’s and most likely the same supplier as all the other vendors) now offers a fully integrated module, with heat sinks, for only $20 more. No need to take apart the stock heatsinks/modules. Going to give this a try

This is the first person to do this, no? I’m assuming it’s a cost prohibited thing, but I’m surprised more don’t offer this open. |

The idea of not having to change the heatsinks will likely seal the deal for me. |

That means it’ll take me longer. lol I have 0 skills when it comes to this stuff. The final product looks great though. Are you happy you got the ones with their own heatsinks? |

A small bit driver like this helps a ton to get to the torx screws. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-35-P...ol-Set/3387640

Have the full heat sinks, it was that small screw that took so long.
Even with the little ratchet. Then again was taking my time and it was hot and humid in the garage lol Last edited by Unimatrix0; 07-02-2023 at 09:16 AM.. |

Using the iND Motorsport+ Yellow LED's is the ideal solution.
No glue or dry time etc is needed. Remove your ballasts - Remove OEM boards Motorsport+ boards come with thin super sticky tape on them Place the Motorsport+ boards onto the ballast and re-install the ballasts. If your careful with removing your OEM Boards - you can save these for the future. No real need for entirely new ballasts IMO.... Its not removing the LED boards that takes time - its actually removing the lower ballast but even then its 25min per side max...

Unimatrix0 were you the one that posted the review on AliExpress saying the original heat sinks on the ice driver product were problematic, so had to use double sided thermal pad tape?
If not, did you give em a quick wiggle/stress test and/or have any problems with the original adhesive? |
