As a side note my neighbor recently got g80 and had dealer install his Mishimoto plate. They didn’t even transfer the rubber dam. Not sure how much it’s needed. There is already metal lip there. But on a lowered car I would want Mishimoto even more. Personal opinion as always. I am sure there will be several different views on this. |

I have not installed mine yet. My car needs to go in for 1200 mile service soon . I may just pay them to do it. Can’t imagine it being more than 150 bucks. If I buy decent ramps or a good trolley jack and jack stands it will likely cost more and I have no place to really store them or have a reason to go under it again. Spirit is willing buy the body, not so much😉

Mike02z it's not worth paying them to do it. It's incredibly simple. |

If that didn't work, then I would hesitantly go the drill bit route. |

I'm also curious on the cost. I'm getting the break-in service on my G87 this Saturday, but when I tried to get them to write the install of the skid plate (which I have on hand) into the purchase contract they refused. If they won't do it for free I'll just do it myself.

Got my 1200 mile service yesterday and asked them to install my Zunsport guard. I was happily surprised that they did not charge me for it. I’m glad that I did not go out and buy ramps or a trolley jack and jack stands as I likely would never use them again.

Couple pictures. I laid on my back and pretty much needed an engine hoist to get back up 😂

I'm interested in either the Zunsport or DIY route. I doubt anyone would have experience with both, but can anyone say to what extend is the Zunsport and/or Amazon mesh flexible?
It looks like the Amazon mesh can be rolled up so it must be very flexible? The Zunsport seems to be sent in flat, so is it more stiff or can it also be easily rolled up? Thanks! |

Just installed the zunsport grilles on my M2 yesterday.
It's very sturdy and will take quite a beating at preventing anything going through it. Once it clips in, it's in. Nice and tight. I wouldn't attempt to remove if possible. |

Is it a stiff mesh in that you can probably bend it slightly but no way to roll it up? |
