Lots of 992's left the factory with significant door alignment issues. It happens.

I have never thought of a caddy as a cool car. Everytime I see one I think of a retired mafioso, or a Grandpa from NJ. Probably the same thing really. Anyway, just based on looks and perceptions I don’t really consider the caddy. It is however, and awesome drivers car from what I read. |

I want to have a GT4/Spyder permenatly in the stable, should be able to grap one in a year or two, they don't bust the limit at the track, are pretty bulletproof and as pure as a driving experience you can have with being able to travel hours if needed. At first I wanted a 911 but you lose the backseat in the naturally aspirated models and I rather have a GT4 than a GTS or Turbo to keep long term. M3 + Spyder would be my ultimate combo and cost is relatively reasonable. I decided the CSL isn't what I want long term and for now doesn't fit my needs for short mid-term. Having a family without unlimited means make you have to make choices.

I test drove a new 4BW yesterday. Really impressive car. It was an auto, but I was surprised with how great the front end felt and how engaging it was. My goal is a 5BW, but I’m assuming most for sale are still marked up?

If you are flexible with the spec, you might be able to find something on the lot from an out of state dealer.
Ordering timeline is also better than how things were in 2022 like the G80s. People are getting their allocations within a few months if you work with the right dealer. |

It’s been about a week since I traded my G80 Comp on a manual 5BW. It’s epic. A vehicle I wish everyone could experience.

As crazy as it may sound to many on this forum I am looking into trading my 6MT M3 for a CT4V BW in the coming weeks...
Ive done around 12 track days in the G8X platform (M4CX + M3 6MT) and I feel the need to try something else. I am also very drawn to all the engeneering that went into the Blackwing products as far as being track day capable. There is a whole section in the owners manual about how to prepare and maintain your car for track days, there are instrcutions how to setup the adjustable camber plates, what mode to use on track and what they actually affect. The car has about the same pace as a G8X comp on skinnier PS4S (TPC spec). Its clearly calling my name as a better track day machine-semi daily. Yes the quality, design etc. blah blah but the reality is a Camaro SS 1LE is a much better track day car than my M3. The CT4BW hits the same spots but in a package I am more used to (luxury, tech etc.) I got a taste of track day readyness in my 718 GTS last year using the onboard Porsche Precision App datalogging and its these kind of details that GM provides for a very reasonable price. I'll take the critic from friends and family and live with it, they aint driving the thing anyways, I am ! Ive regretted not taking the CT5V BW allocation I was offered but after some thaught, it might not have been the best track day partner so its ok, the more agile 4 seems promising for my use case. Oh and I won't start about the idrive 8 stuff, will miss the useless graphics but not the touch/auto climate functions, no one talks about it but BMW automated the seat heater to the auto mode and its so damn stupid.

Dealers have loaded their 4BW orders with options and most of the high spec vehicles are still in their inventory. With current 2k cash incentive, you might be able to get one for a good deal. A low spec 4BW is a bargain for what it brings to the table. Also its a perfect sleeper for someone who doesnt want to get attention. My wife and son still keep questioning me on why i sold my G80 as it was an amazing vehicle for them to ride along. |
