Did everyone in the US pay via wire transfer? I just got my order confirmation and I was expecting them to take my AMEX details. However they've requested a wire transfer. I don't know how comfortable I am making purchases this large (especially international) without the buyer protection provided by AMEX.

I would be very cautious about a wire transfer as you have no buyer protections.
