M3 g80 - fuel level is wrong

Hey guys,
I have an issue with my fuel level being displayed wrong...
car often says its around 80% but then im able to load up 30-40liters which is insane. Fuel level often goes up while driving, then goes down and up again. When fueled fully it doesnt say its full for another 50kilometers drive. What can be the issue?

Probably your fuel level float in the tank. If it’s brand new, take it in. Someone else had a similar issue where their’s failed completely.

Presumably it's under warranty? Instead of trying to self diagnose, benefit from the warranty.

Did you tell them to replace the stupid low pressure fuel pump assembly or bucket that has the float on it. Or at least take the shit out and make sure it’s not getting snagged up on anything if it was possibly assembled wrong?

Tell them a 3rd time to fix the same problem and it’s lemon law. Personally I’d call up BMW corporate and complain about the incompetence at that dealership in terms of their techs. All they have to do is call their service hotline if they’re morons and BMW will tell them what to do to fix it. What have they tried so far? List that info.

A simpler option, if available would be to take it to another BMW dealer

If the dealership cannot verify an issue then the car would not classify as a "Lemon" from the issue this user is facing, it would be hard for a dealer to verify the concern unless a long test drive is approved by the customer

OP maybe take the car in at half tank and authorize them to drive the car 100 miles and inspect the fuel level as the tech drives the car

Video the gas gauge doing it’s funky up/down when it’s happening and email that to your dealer.
