I wish for nothing but hopeless despair and mangled bodies for all thieves and criminals.

My first thought too. That's a pretty high value item. Especially considering what they did take.

It needs to roll and steer to move and dump. Too much hassle for those items and they took almost everything else.

Starting to think people can’t afford the cars anymore so they just start getting it stolen or stripped to avoid paying for it.
Hopefully not the case.
This sucks.

That car was dumped there after the strip job, otherwise they would have taken the vorsteiner wheels too…

At least someone in the biz of buying insurance wrecks has a chance at a good rebuild.

I hope whomever lost it had good insurance coverage.

Owner probably lost to a Tesla in a drag race. Then had it chopped, split the money from the chop, then called it in stolen Win win.

Sorry to the owner. I have seen a number of cars stripped in my day, this one is the cleanest I have ever seen. Very professional and not their first G8X.

edit: so clean in fact it may have been stolen off the lot.

Saw it last night , it’s parked outside a bunch of shops.

So they can easily steer it out of the shop and on to the truck or tow it….

Just randomly found a video of this very same white G80 M3 with a few more details on it. Still find this crazy AF to think someone or a team of people could do this. The level of precision that went into this had to be pretty crazy in itself. You can skip to the 6:15 mark...

Isn't all the steering by wire? It looks like some of the steering components are still in place, but I'd be surprised if it still worked even with a battery connected.

No, it’s not steer by wire. Maybe next gen.

To my knowledge, the only cars currently in production that have steer-by-wire are the Cybertruck and Lexus RZ450e. BMWs have electric power assist, which is not the same thing as steer-by-wire. Without electricity, there will be no power assist by the wheel should still turn.

Unless it’s locked in place since ignition isn’t On. All that said, put some roller dollies in the back, pick up the front wheels and tow it. Your everyday repo guys can yank that shit in 5 min. Free steering wheel and rack if anyone needs one. Haha
