Bringing back thread because I feel like I am feeling the same. Vibration in my seat and gas pedal at low rpm. Seems to be more apparent after putting a midpipe that deletes secondary cats and first resonator.. exhaust leak? Anyone find out what the issue was? I’m also experiencing a higher pitched ringing/rattling at very high speeds. Seems like some metal on metal contact but can’t determine that either..
should I be bringing to local shop, exhaust shop, dealership?

Are you still having the issue? Yours sounds almost exaclty like my case, just no high pitch rattling at hi speeds. Aside from that, like you… After resonanotor deletes (almost like a purring). I agree with it sounding like metal on metal. Any fix that you’ve found?

I noticed this happening with my car also lately. I have a exhaust flap controller and it happens with valves closed. I'm attributing to this maybe. Lately, I keep valves open once I get out of neighborhood and I don't have the issue. This is happening on warm up by the way.

I have this same issue. Metallic rattle / vibration under moderate engine loads at very low RPMs up to around 1800. Only noticed after installing dinan midpipe last week. 2700 miles on the car. Interestingly, I only hear the noise under moderate engine loads, usually when I’m going stoplight to stoplight around town / daily driving. Light, medium, or heavy engine loads I do not hear the noise at all.

Interesting. I’m thinking I should get an exhaust valves controller and see if it goes away.

Put a valve controller and the low rpm sound is even worse. Almost sounds like the purring/groaning sound but even louder now with valves fully open. Is this the asd? With valves closed it’s almost unnoticeable. Anyone else with midpipe and/or valve controller have this issue?

I have this same thing. Almost feels like the lane departure vibration is going off, or the road is super rough. happens when the car is cold and pulling off the first mile or so.

Car is bone stock with 550 miles.

I may code out ASD and see if that makes any difference.

Not sure if it’s relevant but had the same issue with my ‘22 X3MC with an ER mid-pipe. They called it the “Death Rattle” in the F97 section of this forum. Once I changed out the stock exhaust with a Dinan it went away. Again, different car but food for thought.

So far I don’t notice this on my stock M4C
