Hi,

I'd like to acquire experience from people who have coated their comfort access door handles or who has information regarding it.

As silicon itself is semiconductive, I was wondering if it has any effect on operational characteristics of door handles or has anyone experienced excessive play protection triggering, post coating.

Nothing to worry about concerning conductivity. Most "ceramic coatings" are silicon dioxide - SiO2 - (or titanium dioxide), not elemental silicon, in a polymer carrier. SiO2 is a good insulator. Although silicon is termed a semiconductor, it is not a very good conductor unless suitably doped with other elements.

Thank you for reaffirming my thoughts.

The product of my choosing is CarPro SiC, which is silicon carbide based, but that wont matter as molecular makeup should be similar and be using similar carriers and resins.
