It's an individual color, so it's not gonna show on the regular configurator. You should be able to order it.

Not just the regular configurator you build and price your car with. The visualizer has removed FDG as well.

This is nothing for BMW to go make official announcement for. I all know I got same answer when asked the dealer, the color option has been removed from the lineup for any MY23 and forward. They may release the color again under CS badge and also rumor has it the color will soon be replaced with the a very lighter frozen silver.

Do you know 2023 lineup color pallet? Time to decide on new color :-/

Can someone advice on the following:

If normal grey paint with Matt ppf expl will give the same look of a frozen grey colour with transparent ppf xpel ?

Basically I considering frozen grey look but checking other options if there are any.

I spoke to 2 PPF shops about this, and the answer is yes...but it depends how picky you are.

Coverage will be ~99% and there will be some seams and inside corners that aren't going to be totally covered. You will see gloss in areas if you look.

From 6ft away (and in instagram pics) it would probably look perfect.

The UK configurator was updated for MY2023 a few weeks ago, and the new colour is called "Frozen Pure Grey." It looks like a lighter version of FDG, almost silver. Not as nice in my opinion. I was eyeing the FDG for my build too so really bummed they discontinued it. No idea why. Someone on another forum said they took a Dravit grey to a PPF shop, where they covered a section with a matte wrap, and he didn't love it. It can never be as nice as factory.

Finally, after awaiting from Feb 2022 on slot for m3, 6wks ago I jump on m4 line also… second on both lists… today I was told slot is ready for my M4 Big day !!!

And attached is color list I can pick from… most likely dravit gray is my choose after Dark Frozen Gray being out of the list

FDG wouldn't be on that list anyway.

I have a FDG M3 at the port and was wondering if any of you FDG people could share your PPF experiences with me.

Was wondering Xpel vs STEK vs other?
Front or full?
Cost?

I keep going back and forth about doing full. It's unlikely that I'll see the ROI out of doing full PPF. I don't really plan on keeping the car longer than 2-3 years. So why am I paying extra to keep the car nice for the next guy? IDK?
