How's your paint holding up and whats the typical maintenance like? Have you wrapped your car?

Thanks
Addition to this:

If you will got Frozen Dark Grey and want to put PPF they told me that you must to full car PPF; not only front part.

They say that you can see a very big difference on the car later when you take it off.... so they propose to do full PPF.

I am doing only the front part of mine, and my PPF installer said it will be really hard to tell if at all. So I can confirm back in a couple days what it looks like. But i have no intentions of doing the whole car. Everything i read says it will look the same.

That's not true. I have the front clip done and there is no discernible difference.

I think it depends on the brand.

My installer says Suntek is a perfect match for BWM frozen paint.

This post is something else, which appears to change the look quite a bit.

I am talking about when you remove PPF from front after 2 years for example ...

Front part will be much different from rest of the car ... but maybe just want to take money for full PPF, who knows

That could happen with gloss paint just as well as they both only have a clear coat to protect the paint. For added protection you can ceramic coat or add a sealant.

This is my first post and first BMW.

Cheers to the doctor in Rhode Island who built a better spec then the one I ordered and traded it in after 7 months. I named her Natalie and she also had a full ppf, ceramic coat, spacers and a K40 installed. She's perfect to me. Much better outcome then the 8+ month wait time quoted by the dealership. I am terrible at waiting!

Sheesh these front wheels are tough to keep clean. I'm using Hjul by Stjarnagloss and it has been great so far.

Agree, though most in different colors still look sharp when dirty. Credit to their design and suave look.

Just note that FDG is tossed around the forms, and people are using it to refer to two different paint codes/colors.

Frozen Deep Gray - only on M4 (and M340 if I recall) and
Frozen Dark Gray - 'was' only on M3.

There is an official thread for the Frozen Deep Gray - https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ozen+Deep+Gray

You'll see that it's darker, and almost a split between Frozen Dark Gray and Black.

I own a Frozen Dark Gray and I've seen a Frozen Deep Gray... you will notice the difference, but both are amazing colors for these cars.

You're right.

I know the difference (I have a Frozen Deep Grey M4 on order), and should know better than to refer to either using the FDG term.

Love the wheels, wish I'd swapped out.

Get some spacers going too. Amazing the difference it makes.
