So I’ve finally collected my M3 CS after many weeks / months of patient waiting

I’ve only driven a few miles home from the dealership but I can feel straight away how much more taught the steering and suspension is compared to my G82 M4CX, and how much more responsive the throttle is, even at low speeds

Picked up today after having a set of PS4S fitted (to replace Pirelli P Zero Corsa track tyres) and the ceramic coating done, then went for a 130 mile drive to get some mileage on the clock.

1. Definitely much more direct steering than my G82 CX - much more immediate and greater steering feel
2. Throttle response has increased noticeably
3. Im convinced it’s going to be a lot quicker than the G82, even though I’ve not taken it to 4k rpm yet - at lower revs is seems to have more grunt and picks up quicker
4. I LOVE the alcantara steering wheel - it is absolutely perfect
5. I really like iD 8 and new screen setup - although the menu system is a little fussy for me while I get used to it
6. The G80 M3 has a much nicer side profile than the G82 M4
7. The iD 8 HUD display is even better than the iD 7 (and I loved that)
8. Digital climate controls are fine, don’t believe the negative press
9. The exhaust sound and burbles are even better and more pronounced
10. Unless you are completely deactivating DSC with the M button, you only have to press it once, not twice, to active that mode
11. It absolutely looks and feels like a special car and feels quite different when driving it, compared to my G82 - I’m so pleased with it and really glad I pulled the trigger

The only few “negatives” I have:

1. I’m going to miss having programmable physical buttons as I used them all the time
2. I’m going to have to buy a cup holder solution
3. I haven’t found anywhere to store my keys where they don’t rattle or clatter about while driving
4. I’m not 100% sold on the default speed and rev counter display - the sport one is better and should be default in an M3 CS so I’ll need to see if this can be coded
