Show me your Skyscraper Grey Wheels...

I hate the OEM Wheels but can't decide on a color. I keep thinking of champagne or staying with black. I would love to see some different color aftermarket wheels to help the decision. Pic of my car is attached. TIA

With all the black trim I think black wheels look best.

Why do you hate the OEM wheels? Because of the black color (which I would totally understand) or do you dislike the design in general?

How can anyone hate the OEM wheels lol.

Here's a couple of the whole car and a close-up post-wash

Also, officially they're referred to as "bi-color" not skyscraper grey.

I guess he meant that others with Skyscraper Grey G8Xs should show their wheels in different colors (I assume only aftermarket since he obviously doesn't like the OEM wheels).

Trying a Few options on mine. Have a black set of apex, a set of apex I did in chrome powder for a prior car then sold that and got my m3 prior to mounting them. Also tested a set of custom s58 performance in brushed gold. I think they are too bright tho. I’m wrapped in satin ppf now too

I'll never understand the taste for wheels that make the car look like it's straight out of a 90s tuner magazine.

Maybe it just identifies as Skyscraper.

Considering I’ve been modding since the mid-90’s I’ll take that as a compliment 😂

Black seems to match the rest of the black accents nicely. Contemplating swapping to Apex VS5-RS's in brushed clear.

My G83 came with 826M bi-color wheels and I opted for the 826M black wheels for my winter set. Personally, I clearly prefer the 826M bi-color (silver/grey with black trim) over the all black 826Ms.

I feel the bi-color (when clean) highlight both the silver/grey aspects of the car, as well as the black trim. Bi-color also goes very well with carbon fiber tones.

It's all subjective I guess. Check out the below Skyscaper Grey thread for more ideas. cheers!

While I absolutely agree with you here, the bi-colors are still too dark for my taste (especially since there already is a dark option for the 826Ms). Even the silver part isn't really silver, it's rather a light grey. But overall, they are nice looking wheels, especially if the lightning is right.

Absolutely! I guess it's all subjective & depends on the look that you're trying to achieve or what personally appeals to your individual taste (paint colors included).

For instance, I thought the 825M "star" wheels I spec'd on my prior '22 G82 would contrast great against Tanzanite to brighten it up a bit. Unfortunately it wasn't long before I quickly fell out of love with them as I personally thought they looked too M440-ish and "soft" in person (IMO). They're still sharp wheels as many spec'd them. The eye of the beholder I guess

Looks great, are those MLE10's? What size and offset did you go with?
