Thanks Vic55 & r33_RGSport! The drop looks great so I took forward to knowing more about this solution, specially if MSS ends up being the right option for me when I receive my AWD G80 and of course I get confirmation that it fits AWD in the first place

Looks amazing! Can't wait for more information.

Here is my buddy's car finally dialed in by modifying the adjuster to fit on the top and removing the MSS rubber.

@Vic55 looks great.

I wonder will the car continue to 'settle' up
To 2k miles? If so I suppose you can always raise it up as needed still or is the adjustment completely gone?

This mod is static so no changes unless we go back to the regular application but so far so great. I drove it another 50 or so miles last night and it was great and the compression and rebound gave me what I wanted; that taut tight feel but no excessive bounce.

I will say that the BMW did a tremendous job with the valving on the dampers.

The only thing that makes me nervous with any of these setups is how good the stock setup rides. BMW nailed the ride dynamics and I don't want to be bouncing down the road. I only have about 50 miles on my car right now and haven't even tried Sport or Sport+ yet...

Obviously this is my opinion based on the roads I use every day but I can not truly discern much difference if any. In fact, I felt the OEM spring rates are too low cause more "bounce" which caused me to used comfort under the EDC and now Im using Sport with the drop I have.

Ive lowered over 40 cars in my life (maybe 50) with so many options such as:

KW V3
KW HAS
H&R
Eibach
Swift
Novitec
TechArt
Tien
RD Sport
MSS
Etc...

And this linear spring is arguably one of the best that Ive had with a drop like I have (35/30). Alot of this is attributed to the spring rates but also the OEM valving of the dampers.

I know my situation is highly subjective and "feel" is just that--- feel but I truly enjoy this setup. Just yesterday I took the G80 out for some higher speed runs and totally forgot it was this low. I still havent even aligned it.

Great feedback, I appreciate it. Have used a bunch of the kits you mention above as well and some have been great and others not so much. Luckily this setup is affordable so it is not a huge deal to remove it if I don't like it.

I'm getting the kit installed this weekend on my M4 and hoping it turns out good. I'm looking for an even and moderate drop (20-25mm) both front and rear because I track the car and want no risk of suspension bottoming out.

Fingers crossed I can get at least 20mm lower in the front because I know the rear will drop that much easily.

I think I was close to 20mm using the standard install so you will be solid.

I agree, the stock ride is amazing. I went with the MSS. It's a little more harsh over pot holes but not noticeable on good roads at all. Over all I'd say it's worth the trade off and it's easily reversible
If you don't like it…hard to go back to the 4x4 look after you get it sitting pretty tho!

I think if you are worried about ride quality you're better off with a HAS kit over a basic spring kit for sure. I've had basic kits in the past and that crashy ride is horrible
