2022 Subaru WRX
Seems a lot of people are dissing the pics of the new WRX. I think it's great looking. Curious what other people think.

So bad…especially in lighter colors. The body cladding is hideous.

Brutal. Now the new BRZ does look like a winner.

If you're curious, check out my thread I started a few months ago. How quickly it came and went speaks for itself:
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1837832 As a 2020 STI owner, in my opinion the new WRX is trash. I've been a long time Subaru fan and forgave them for their shortcomings for far longer than I should have. The new WRX is the final nail in the coffin for me. Subaru is now dead to me. I just finished up a 20g flex fuel build on my STI and with 360 wheel on 93 and 411 on e85, the car is an absolute blast. And far better looking than the new one. I think the facelift front bumper fixed a lot of the blandness that the 2015 launch model had. I'll be keeping this car for a very very long time.

I like the BRZ. The refresh is getting great reviews. I was curious about pricing and the first 3 dealers I contacted are adding about 2k to MSRP. Later heard from another that they are selling at MSRP.

I mean.... that generation of WRX is total trash too. They're freaking hideous looking. The last decent looking WRX was the 2013 sedan with those delicious fender flares.

I mean.... That's your opinion and I respect that. I also completely but respectfully disagree. Only difference is I'm not directly replying to any 2022 owners to tell them how freaking hideous looking I think their personal car is. But good day to you.

The marketing really bugs me, since they are basically admitting in some of the commercials I've seen that the original was pretty bad. It was not a bad idea...just a bad execution that was too gutless to be taken seriously. But it seems like a cool idea finally..

Waiting for the Ken Block edition...

All the unpainted black plastic hurts my eyes. This has to be the first car I've seen with unpainted rocker panels this pronounced. Not exactly sure what the braintrust at Subaru are smoking here. It's going to sell because Subaru has one of the most loyal followings in the industry but I don't see non-Subaru people flocking to this mess.

'22 - 271 hp A measly 3 hp more yet much uglier.
