I guess the ID.me $1,500 discount is gone now too…

Saw this guy's post on a group on Facebook. Not sure how valid it is, but probably true:

Anyone know if BMW removed the 3 series (and thus the g80 m3) from military discounts?

I signed in to id.me, and the 3 series is no longer listed. With that being said, the FAQ's still states "the full range of BMW's".

Any info?

That was me. I was really hoping to get the discount to offset the 2023 increases.

I figured you'd be on here! Same here man! Cutting into full PPF and ceramic and mods budget. Hopefully that guy was right and they come back closer to delivery. Probably trying to cut demand for the m3 anyway they can. That was the only incentive. Lol.

It's funny though, their site still says they offer it on the full line of BMW's

MY23 vehicles are not off the production line and BMW might update those incentives once those vehicles lands in the US or closer to that timeframe. Since production starts in July, incentives for MY23 might be updated in July or Aug.

Thanks man! You always have all the details. Ha. Hopefully they bring it back. Anything helps, especially on the cash route. Every dollar counts. Price increase and lose of IDme Mil. discount is cutting into mods and full ppf & ceramic budget lol.

Anybody receive a MY2023 allocation/production number yet NOT tied to a flip from a MY2022 or a 50th Anniversary Jahre?

Is this typically how BMW operates? Any idea why the M4 is already included then?

Yes i have seen this in the past. I dont think they have to update the incentives for a vehicle which has theoretically not began production.

Also where are you seeing the incentives for MY23 M4.

He is looking at the IDme portion of the BMW site. If you log in, this is what you see.. No 3 series. But no years mentioned on that page either, so fingers crossed when production starts, it comes back.

^^^ Thats where I am seeing it. Its applicable for the 4 series (and thus M4), but the 3 series has been removed. I am hoping this is just a mishap, since removing it for the generic 3 series doesn't make too much sense.

Also, spoke to a client advisor on one of the facebook groups and he "confirmed" that loyalty and military discounts are not currently applicable for M3.

Yes I was given a 2023 allocation in early June without being flipped from a 2022. 6MT and it hit quality control today.

I placed an order for 2 G80's (6mt and xdrive comp) at my local dealer. They claimed I'm #3 and #4 on the list as we wait for allocations. I was told it could be 1-2 years before getting them. Hope that's not true and allocations start popping up here in July.

If that's the case, we will get more prices increases and who knows what else. They can keep the car lol. I want it, but not bad enough to wait two years. Already waiting 6 months for an allocation.

Myself and many others had build weeks back in Jan, Feb, Mar, yet here we are 6 months later still waiting to go into production.
I told my wife I needed to get this process going now because it will take a really long time to actually get built & delivered - watch it skyrocket thru production & delivery, just so she will be pissed at me for getting another car so long before my current lease ends LOL
I told my wife the same thing. Mine sped through production. I placed my order in March and my g83 will be delivered July 14th. My wife was none too pleased when it only took 4 months.

However in order to keep the car I had to lose 50lbs, so she is not all mad.

It sounds like they may have not gotten many allocations in the past, which could mean they will get limited allocations going forward.

I originally made the mistake of being on a single list, and I have been waiting since September. I'm now on 3 lists, so I would look at getting on at least one more.

Several of us had luck by adding name to multiple waitlists. Its going to be a while if you are relying on a single dealer. But its good to know that they are honest about the timeline.

Just curious, why two G80s?

You hit QC on June 30 - are you sure that is a 2023 model?

Yep! Everything on BMW’s site says 2023 BMW M3 Sedan. Just moved to “Dispatched From Factory” status this morning.

Thanks for the input. I've contacted others in the area, but all others required a deposit. From your experience, do they put in writing the deposits are refundable at a certain point? If so, at which point?

I ordered a 6mt for me and an xdrive for my biz partner.

Yes, either in an email or in the payment receipt.

I am on the waitlist at 2 dealerships, neither required the deposit hold on my card until allocation came in. One tried, and I said sure, they ended up not needing it. They also wanted to run credit, to which I said no. Likely a cash deal; or to wait until closer to car's arrival and see what rates are then. Cannot lock this far out. If they did run credit, it would've been a waste - 6 months ago and still no allocation. Pointless.

Now, it may be I didn't have to do the deposit for an allocation due to friends and relationships with those stores. Not sure.

Supposedly, I am #1 for an M3cX at one of them, but no allocations for that model have come in... ugh.
