MY'23 Allocations

Since the first wave of '23 allocations in June was pretty sparse, we might as well get a thread going for July.

Currently sitting at #1 for a G80 and G82 and 2 different dealers.

Let's go!

Might be jumping the gun as it is not a foregone conclusion there may be another round before this month is over. Or that may just be wishful thinking.

BMW is already scheduling into week 30 for allocations which have been released, so whenever the next round is it will surely be for August builds.

Not sure what best to call these, but since there was already a June thread I thought July was fitting.

#1 for M3 Comp xDrive...loaded in order bank. Waiting for allocation to move forward. Fingers crossed!

Depending how many lists you're on, securing that G82 shouldn't be too bad. I know of a few open allocations for July builds that were available but were snapped up quickly. G80 still looks like a long list.

#1 on multiple waitlists for 3+months for a G82..I am doing something wrong lol.

How sure are you all that you're #1?

I was told I'm #1 by my CA, but am really #4

Nonetheless, great thread and hoping for a big round in July!!!!

Not sure at all, to be honest. Sure that I was #1 at the time of placing the order though, but either these M Certified, Center of Excellence, high-volume, NY Metro area dealerships are not getting any allocations for my build or the allocations are going to other people presumably willing to pay more.

I've had multiple shots at available M4 allocations throughout my search just by cold calling but either they are too low on the trade, want some sort of markup on the MSRP or finance end, or just give off bad vibes (like claiming BMW doesn't do rate locks anymore or unwilling to procure a p&o agreement promising the terms they verbally agreed on). The dealers who have my deposits are the ones I trust to not screw me now later on.

I've been supposedly #1 on the wait list for a MY2023 M3 Comp xDrive at my one and only dealership, and have been since 3/19/22 after placing a $3,000 non-refundable deposit.

Order was officially submitted to BMW 6/8/22 (status 047), currently waiting for an allocation/production number....

Hope BMW remembers us who got MY22 allocation and pushed to 23 lol.
Had production number since March. Now waiting for my dealer to get a MY23 allocation for G80. I was told that I’m on top of their list still…

I've seen pics of the order bank from both dealers to confirm my place in line.

The people ahead of me have cars in transit, and those behind me are waiting on allocations.

Unfortunately the fact is that BMW might assign your #1 position build an allocation but the dealer could just give that allocation to somebody else willing to pay more and you'd be none the wiser. I'm sure this game will go on as long as people are clamoring over each other for build slots. I guess the real question we should be asking is how much do you trust your dealer.

True, although I'm inclined to think most dealers won't open up their order banks to their customers to view. I am seeing a bunch of dealers who were at MSRP a couple months ago now asking $5k just to get in the order bank. It seems the market's only gotten worse with the pent-up demand.

I got a 2023 M4 allocation. I am now not sure. My MFaux 440 is very good. The new price is less attractive. But really.. the idrive8 dash.

One line item that appears not to have changed at all from MY22->MY23 is the destination & handling ($995). I'm surprised they didn't see an opportunity tack on a $200 fuel surcharge there, if nothing else.

I hope so too, although I have zero confidence. It pains me to see more and more people who just ordered get production numbers (I am happy for them though).

If my dealer doesn't get an allocation anytime before the '23 builds start how is my build supposed to go into prod. I've had a prod number since January.
