Good question - looked like cup 2s from the prev videos but what I'm sure of is that the wheels can't be those 25" rims from that cover photo lol

Exactly, 15s faster but with stickier tires, more power, less weight, stiffer set-up and almost twice the price.
With the same tires it would probably be half the difference, but with one you're going to go 5 with luggage.

Well I'd call that full send....

Impressive how consistently early he can get on/maintain full throttle coming out of those corners. OEM suspension setup seems pretty solid

M4C matches the 7:30.X time exactly in the hands of an independent driver by Sport Auto. The difference between a factory driver’s fastest lap is usually a couple of seconds so the wagon’s time is perfectly in line with expectations. Fast hearse, note to self to add to will as final transport

The M4CX time is 7:28.X by Sport Auto which is a better comparison.

Smooth operator, nice driving. Everytime I watch these ring videos I’m struck by the length of the main straight and how extremely important hp is on this track. The time spent at full throttle with excruciatingly slow acceleration through 6 to 8 gear for over 30s.

Not only it won't be sold there, but also it won't be adversited or promoted. Such a shame.. ;(

Interesting to note that the same driver in the M3 Touring was shifting up most of the time at around 6500rpm, while in the M4 CSL it was at around 7000rpm. CSL's engine continues to increase hp at the top end? Or there are some other reasons?

after watching more it's just that he's *short shifting most of the time giving the illusion of shorter gearing.

maybe car is heavier and need more **torque? sorry i'm not making any sense lol

just woke up - get coffee first

emailed to put an order in

not sure what to do with my M340i

*redline seems to be at 7250rpm and he's often shifting at 6500rpm sometimes even closer to 6000rpm!

** is there a big power drop off from 6500rpm in the M3/4C?

will be watching the lap again paying attention to the telemetry

15s on a 20.8km track though.
The M4 CSL is 110kg lighter than the M4 Competition, here we also have xDrive (+50kg) and Touring (+60kg), so around 220kg more, 40hp less and more powertrain loss.
Michelin claims than the advantage of the Cup2r over the Cup2 is about 0.5s/km, maybe a bit less at Nurburgring but still considerable.
With the same tires, the time would be dangerously close.
Now consider a 4/5km racetrack, not a great deal for the "light" and expensive CSL.
