I got my production number this morning for my 50th Anniversary Edition M3. I was told the build is set for the second to last week in July which would be week 29. The estimated delivery is in September.

I'll try to keep this updated but wanted those that have also ordered the Jahre Edition to look for that email!

Progress! It's now showing Scheduled for Production via Track My BMW. No official date as per my sales rep and still set for week 29.

I see the same accelerated timeline for my 50 Jahre - in the paint booth status 152. I definitely wasn't expecting this to be such a quick turnaround from putting the deposit down to production based on everything else going on…..

Still debating if there are any port installed options I want to add…..

I read somewhere that the 50 Jahre would be the first MY2023's built but I assume that source was only speculating. I do know BMW moved these builds ahead of other people that have had a production number for months.

I'm curious, what color did you choose? I'm guessing they are grouping the 50 Jahre based off of the colors chosen. I went with Lime Rock Grey and still at status 112.

Edit: As far as port installed options. I requested for the carbon exterior package. It's frustrating they didn't just include that package with bonus CF parts for the 50 Jahre edition.

Interlagos is my color.

I have the same dilemma as you do - wondering if they would discount the CF package since we already paid for the rear spoiler. Wouldn't even know where to ask or who to contact, I doubt dealership would have any clue!

Looks like paint booth is done and the car is already entering assembly line. Way ahead of expectations, looks like the 50 Jahre will be the first on the boat, unless we run into shipping constraints…..

Given the new timeline and the weather being nice i could actually change my order to PCD, will need to think about it more. It is such a great experience!

+ Got on waiting list (first in line) for Allocation 8/27/21
+ Allocation & Order Placed 5/4/22
+ Production Number issued 6/13/22 (Est Prod. Week 29)
+ Scheduled for Production 6/27//22
+ Start Production - 7/7/22

hmmm. I just received a call from my sales guy. Build date in August with late Sept delivery. I don't have any of the cool up-to-date status some here have, but I'm fine with it. I'm at port, so won't have to wait long after the ship drops it off.

Color is Techo Violet.

My car is the US version, Interlagos and just went into Quality Check today per the BMW tracking status in My Garage. It has been quite a quick turnaround on my vehicle….I actually missed the build week since I casually logged in and it was already getting to production and painting. Never spoke to Genius etc., just doing it all online.

I'm still in 102 with no update. Order placed and production number confirmed by dealership on 5/4. Color is fire orange. Anyone else stuck in 102?

Same for me - stuck in 102. And Fire Orange too

According to Genius, requested production week was 27 but no confirmation from factory…

Do you have the production number? That's all you need to track the status via My Garage or Genius 1.844.4GENIUS (443-6487).

So far it looks like the production order is:

Going to be a exciting week. Has anyone had any luck getting CF Intakes substituted or POE installed? I'd pay for them, I just want them installed...

Anyone going to have BMW Performance Center delivery?

I am debating if I can do PCD again. Mine is Interlagos and apparently the first ones build - not sure if that is a good thing with the changes to the interior, I am very sensitive to interior rattles, they drive me nuts.

My dealer sent me the list of things that I can add at the Port, going through that this week to decide. Apparently there is a Carbon Fibre Selector Lever, has anybody seen that somewhere?

This list seems to be missing two of the carbon fiber exterior parts I want:
+ CF Air Inlets
+ CF Rear Diffuser

Might have to have it ordered at the dealer during the purchase of the car and have them install it there. Seems odd the port will do the M Performance diffuser and exhaust but not the normal CF variant.

I 100% agree with you about interior rattles! And I’m not sure your color is the first ones built. This is just based off of what I’ve seen so far. Maybe one of the two remaining colors I haven’t seen anyone post about is before Interlagos.
