On the other side, the guys leasing M cars, buying 911's etc. are going to be nowhere near as affected. I think we will see a big divergence in asset prices, where enthusiast cars will stay flat compared to cooking models. What that means for more regular new BMW models is hard to say, but inventories are still very low and will remain that way until at least mid 2023.

All those folks that overpaid for used cars by 30% will be upside down and inside out and won't be able to find relief outside of a total loss accident.

So many compounding problems...

Moral of the story sound investments, financial decisions, positive thoughts/outlooks and a balanced checkbook...

A little shocked with the LCI the M340I only has 150 dollar in crease. I think I will be picking up this thing up for my wife.

It was a matter of time when BMW had to adjust prices. And of course BMW will not be the only one.
They are definitely not the only one. We bought/ordered my wife's MDX back in October. Took delivery in late Dec. Same car today is $3400 more expensive.

I doubt the prices will ever come down. Even if somehow we get out of the inflation.

That would mean deflation. Deflation is usually pretty bad for an economy and is unlikely across the board, though some areas can and might deflate, autos won't be one of them. More likely scenario would be more standard features get packed in.

No, it's for the 2023 model year cars, which BMW will begin production on in July for the most part (I believe). So as allocations open up for those vehicles (they may have started for some of the models, I'm not sure) ... and eventually for the inventory that will be appearing on dealer lots ... those are the prices that will be applicable.

It's all the "cost cutting" from removing the buttons in iDrive8!

Does this include the mark ups that dealers charge?

MSRP is set by BMW. ADMs are not included in this pricing.

I am still perplexed on how they came up with that $150 when most other models had a significant jump.

BMW's zero cost PCD is still a bargain.

Porsche charges extra fee for their Porsche Experience Center Delivery and so do Chevy for Corvette Museum Delivery in addition to the Destination fee.
They don't charge that much for Euro Delivery, $0 for the Spyder I have on order

Same here. That's kind of a no brainer for me. Can't wait until the configuration on bmwusa.com is available for it.

We went Audi s5 or a5 sportback shopping. 60k for cars that don't have blind spot monitoring. I really want to get an Audi in the family lineup because of the virtual cockpit. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. How long do you think it would take to take delivery on one after placing an order. I already called my SA, he's probably off on a long weekend.

Didn't manufacturers used to offer 5-7% discounts on ED? I'm guessing they must have realized some cost or tax savings for doing so. So even if they're not charging a lot for ED now, they're probably making good profit on it.

Yeah, especially when the increase on the 330 -- which you'd think would be equally if not more price-sensitive -- was a fair bit higher.

Question. I recently placed an order for an X5 and the dealer told me this will most likely be a 2023 model since they are changing in June/July.
Will my order now go up with these new prices, or will it be the same price as when I placed my order even if it will be a 2023 model?

If i was the cost engineer, i would have bumped it to the next higher number especially when its a 340.
