Hi, found out yesterday, that I bumped to week 28. Anybody else with me in this boat?

Order placed - late September 2021
Allocation received - February 2022
All the way bumped from week 8 and now once again to 28.

My order just transfers to MY23, without head up and gesture control. Production number remained the same.

I was under the impression that the factory was shut down BW27-28 for MY23 switchover, but maybe they've deferred things? If you have your allocation and order, this must be a MY22, correct?

I don't think I've seen any other BW27-28's.

My CA's showed me my order in BMW's system. I was quite confused too, but it seems, that switchover will be shorter. Also he told, that cars produced starting July will receive ID8 (M3s), which means I must be MY23.

Your order has to indicate the model year, so please verify that. Did your dealer (country) receive MY23 order guides with pricing / option details?

I think, now there wouldn't be any doubts I'm MY23.

I found out, that head up is not out of equipment, it's just not listed in spec, as it's a part of ID8.

Should I create a build week 31 thread?

I believe there was another thread started a couple of days ago for week 28 that I had posted in. I received a call on Saturday 6/18 letting me know that the dealership had received my allocation. This is for a 2023 M3CX. Apparently I am now status 112 and production is to begin on July 15th!

When this thread was created a month back, there wasnt any MY23 builds scheduled before OP. Your build might have been scheduled after that.

At first I hated the new iDrive, but after seeing it in person in the iX I feel in love with it. Feels very high quality and definitely makes the cabin feel more modern IMO.

I have a Oct 2021 order with a production number since January for a build week 9 that has been bumped repeatedly until now. Monday it was finally flipped to MY23 and 112, and this morning its already 150 with a VIN. I was told its BW28.

Deposit Aug 2021, Allocation Jan 2022, Scheduled for Prod Mar 2022, Back to 105 status Apr 2022, was told I'd flip to 2023 model, production number would stay the same, gaining iDrive8, "losing" Gesture Control...confirmed everything June 22nd, status has already gone to Scheduled for Production to Production Begins and I got a VIN! CA told me build week 28.

Man, what a long ride, feels like we're finally getting somewhere!

Update: CA told me Prod Date 7/7/2022

Update: CA told me Prod Date 7/7/2022

If you use the Chome Dev Tools you can see the prod date without having to call Genius. But before the car is in 150, you need to call them to get the build week.

I'm a week 28 build according to genius and woke up this morning and production is starting today. Finally got a VIN #. Things are moving!
