Just found out today I am week 24 as well.

Individual color though, so I think it adds on another 4-5 weeks to my knowledge.

As far as my experience and what I've seen others around here say, I don't believe there is a "normal" build time, at least not during these uncertain times. From what I've gathered, if everything goes as smooth as possible, 3-4 months from receipt of allocation is about the best case scenario for a non individual build.

I did learn that BMW usually groups individual builds together so I suppose one could get lucky and grab an allocation a few weeks before a scheduled individual build window and manage to get squeezed in.

Yeah, I'm hoping I get the current interior with buttons.. I hate punching through menus to find/change climate control settings!

Anyway, pretty simple build.. maybe the laser lights are what is delaying mine, but that's speculation based on what I heard.

RWD M3 competition
Portimao Blue
Silverstone full leather
Carbon interior trim
Ventilated seats
Laser lights
Shadowline lights
826M bi color wheels

First week 24 person to hit 150 wins. I'm still at 111.

Ahh, I hope 3-4 months is where I land.

Had a thread earlier yesterday, I pre-traded my M2C in December '21 and if M3 doesn't get here by September '22, then I lose out on the tax saving. Was contemplating just getting a Frozen white '21 M4 at MSRP and trading it once the M3 gets here.

Called the Genius this morning, and I'm scheduled for a Week 25 now.

He mentioned the Build Week for MY'23 starts at Week 27, and the change does not automatically happen and has to be done from your dealership.

Estimating end of summer at this point.

Status:
- Order Placed: 12/17/21
- Production Number Issued: 03/11/22

Details as below:
Dealership: BMW of the Main Line, PA
Model: MY'22 M3 Competition xDrive
Build Specs:
- Black Saphire Metallic
- 826m 19/20" M Double-spoke black wheels
- Fiona Red/Black Extended Merino Leather
- Carbon Fiber trim
- Executive Package
- Parking Assistance Package
- Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight
- M carbon bucket seats
- M Shadowline Lights
- M Compound Brakes with Red Calipers

interesting, so if we get delayed to Week 27, we have to call dealership to switch to a MY23?

I'm assuming the CA/Dealership would reach out to you notifying the change, and then they would update the factory.

Typically, dealers can request a specific build week for any allocation and BMW has to approve it.

In this scenario, i am not sure if a dealer can request a later build week which will push the build to the next MY. Also BMW has not rolled out any MY23 allocations to the dealers so far.

Interesting, first time I've heard that the laser lights could potentially be causing delays. Curious, anyone here 112 status? Or are we all 102/105/111?

I'd put my money on Electron mike getting to 150 1st with the non carbon bucket seats and no carbon exterior pack

First round is on me if I get to 150 sometime this year. I thought my build without HUD, carbon buckets, exterior carbon, CCBs, and individual paint would fast track me, but my build has been delayed several times.

If they've accepted the order (with the Individual color), then the build week should already incorporate that associated delay. Of course, you'll find out (more) for sure when you switch to 150.

Oh man, don't tell me that! haha.

If it comes at September, I'll be down about $3k-$4k in tax cause of my trade in.

Highly considering just getting something in the mean time until M3 comes in. It's a gamble either way, not sure what to do.

I just went to 112 status scheduled for production. Perhaps they pulled me in as it seems a bit early for week 24. Anybody else? Just hoping they build my car!
