I thought anything July is MY23, so may make sense why you are a MY22

Finally got my VIN this morning with a production date of 6/27, so I guess they were telling me the truth. Now to hope that I don't get stuck in QC purgatory!

I got the same information. My M4 went to 150 yesterday morning. I also called BMW Genius after I saw the VIN on the My BMW web site to confirm. I was also given the completion date of 6/27. It's abut time, I ordered the car back on 8/29 last year.

I'm still in 150 since June 9. My Week 26 production date is supposedly 6/28 so hopefully it will flip to 151 paint booth soon, however I see some lucky peeps jumping steps on MyGarage delays.

I think I lost the first to layers of skin on my index finger logging onto MyGarage! This tracking thing is both a blessing and a curse in parallel!!

My G82 M4 was also scheduled for Week 26. Yesterday morning, it was shown on the My Garage web page still as "Production Begins (150), but I checked again a couple of hours later and it was shown as "Exterior Body Assembly Begins" (151). This morning, I checked again at about 11:30 PDT, and it was now showing "In the Pant Booth" (152). I called BMW Genius and asked about how long these steps usually take and what was the work schedule at the BMW plant. He said he didn't know how long each step usually takes and that the plant is running 24/7. He also said that my car was now scheduled for completion on 6/28, next Tuesday.


Obvious next question, how long before it gets on a ship to Port Hueneme? Of course, at that point we're at the mercy of the ship companies.

Congratulations on getting this far, read the waiting for an allocation thread , or the stuck in QC purgatory thread for some real pain! The tracker in My garage is always a few days/blue dots behind, your car should be completed on time, give or take a day. I waited a week in carrier assignment and then almost a full month at the port waiting for a ship, but I’m on the east coast. West coast wait times have been worse in May/June, less ships heading your way. Read the 193 port thread to read what others are experiencing. This is the time where patience is key. You maybe one of the lucky ones and only spend a week or two at the port, maybe a month like most, or longer if you’re one of the unlucky ones. Its really is hit or miss and hurry up and wait! So keep hope alive!!

Hey Jim B, my experience and timing is IDENTICAL to yours! Genius told me my build completion date was 6/28. I was in 150 from about 6/9 until 6/23 then it flipped to Exterior Body Assembly and was in the Paint Booth yesterday. Let's keep in touch and compare notes! Hopefully we sail through quickly now and don't get stuck in 193 Purgatory! (I'm on the East coast, I see youre on the West?)

Fyi my neighbor's son is an engineer at BMW Woodcliff Lake HQ and said almost no more chip shortages. (I often see the camo-wrapped test cars in the driveway before they go into the garage, if I'm lucky- was outside planting a Japanese Maple and this pulled in!)
