Just talked to my CA, after being bumped from Week 17. Back to "Order Received". Called Genius, and was told they can't see an Estimated Production Week, which I've never heard. Talked to CA, too, and was told car has been delayed due to Ukraine situation and will go into production soon, however, he didn't have a build week either. Does this mean I'm likely looking at a MY23 build?

I am experiencing the exact same issue; my CA told me I have been moved to a MY23. But, who really knows what's happening?

My CA said out of 3 G80 orders he has that got delayed only mine has a scheduled production date, so it seems like people not having production dates is becoming more common. I would assume you're bumped to MY23. I am week 23 so I may be joining you guys in MY23 if I get bumped again

Mine was scheduled for this week (or was it last?) and was bumped to week 26 recently as well. It will be interesting to see how it plays out with the new model year coming around the same time frame.

It's going to be a long wait to see what are BMW schedule plans for us in week 26. No more options than just wait.

Punch, I’m not sure if this is the first BMW you’ve ordered or not, this will be my 3rd. Patience is the word. Your car will come, BMW promises that, it’s their business and they don’t make any money until they deliver your car. Find yourself little ways to cope. For me it’s checking this forum three times a day, it gives me comfort and information and sometimes a good laugh. “I’ve earned this 15 minute break to read posts!” YouTube videos, building my car over and over again helps once a week too. The highlight is my weekly call to the genius hotline. Rarely do they tell me anything worthwhile, but it seems to soothe my soul. I just waited 8 1/2 months (8 months 11 days to be exact) for my M440, Zanzibar 2 individual paint to arrive only to trade it in six months later for a G83. I’m a week 19 build and I’m expecting my vin later this week and then I’ll have to wait some more, shipping, PMA delays, transport delays, etc. I’m not expecting to see the car until July/August, late June if there’s a miracle, but I have zero doubt my car will be delivered one day. When they day arrives all of this will seem worthwhile. It’ll be the same for you so hang tight, patience! And keep hope alive!!

For everyone getting bumped to later weeks or to My23. Do we know if you get bumped to a later week does your build go to the front of the line based off of your previous week. Or would someone who had an initial week 18 build that got bumped to week 26 be behind me because I initially had week 26.

I’m just wondering as I still have my build week, but people ahead of me with earlier weeks are being moved to a 23 which seems off in planning. I would think my scheduled build would be pushed to accommodate for an earlier week.

Thanks for the response. Yes, this will be my first BMW and probably that is the portion that gets me nervous. I ordered this car without test drive it, I know and have seen all the comments about how this car handles and performs. I do the the same, check some of the other weeks and see what is going on and also randomly call genius. I know we will need to wait. I was lucky since I put my name in a couple dealers in December 2021 and got an allocation in March 4th. I know there are members that are waiting for allocations since last year. I hope all blog members get their cars some time soon.

Where do you guys see the build week , my status is 112 and shows Conf Prod as 2022/06/22 . This date got pushed back by a month

I was told by Genius week 26 is June 19th to the 25th. Moved from week 17 to 26 a couple weeks ago.

Does Genius have same info as dealer, how do you arrive at build date is my question? From the Prod date just calculate the week? My CA sent me screenshot and no where it has build date

Normally the CA has access to the same screen as genius. I have been receiving always same info from both. Now from your production date normally will take between one to two weeks to hit final assembly. This will depend of any stop orders or quality findings during the production process

Ugh, Im week 34!!!















Of 2021. The car will come, guys. I know the feeling. I can't complain. I went from order to driveway, in 97 days, including 30 days on a boat, and an 8 day hold, for a stop sale. Nothing was removed from my order. I went with Dravit. You guys with the individual paint, it's worth it. Some of you will be waiting 2-3 times, longer to get your car, but you will love it. This car is amazing. I have 5,800 miles on my car, since October.
