Are you sure? I'm scheduled for Week 29, having been bumped back from Week 16, and am still told to expect (according to Genius) a MY22 spec. In the event that it does fall into MY23, though, I was somewhat reassured by Genius noting that ID8 won't be applied to the G80 this summer, which I'm obviously hoping will be ratified shortly by CA, once he gets the MY amendments list this month.

You might want to check the below thread which specifies iDrive 8 for MY23 as reported by forum insider in the past.

Joining the Week 25 Thread…wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I’ve gone from Build Week 8, to 16, to 24 and now 25. I can be patient, but my concern is slipping to MY23

It may state that it is MY23, but it doesnt say WHEN.

What if it is like the e46 M3 where the update was a mid MY update? 2003 vs 2003.5 as it is known?

Its had been reported that MY23 SOP is by July 2022.

In addition, no one has reported any MY22 builds scheduled past build week 26.

Maybe it will coincide with the launch of the G81 touring in November, since that has been confirmed to have ID8 via interior shots. We won't truly know until they officially announce something, and who knows when that will be.

The geniuses are honestly useless. They have no idea what they're talking about and are mainly there for after sales support

Probably just about everyone has been bumped. No one is getting their cars when scheduled. I've had 9 different production bumps so far and the car hasn't even started

I heard from a rep at BMW Genius yesterday that if your MY22 build doesn’t get completed by week 26, then your order is canceled and you “start the process over.” Has anyone else ever heard that before?

There have been multiple conflicting statements about this scenario over various threads, whether it is cancelled or it flips to 2023 and has to be re-worked by the CA, whether you keep or lose the allocation, I don't know that anyone really knows for sure what will happen.

none of it makes much sense, it's seemingly random, and information changes every person you talk to. I'm thinking I'll get an 8-ball rather than call the Genius about anything at this point.

Another week 25 here for M4CX. Got on the waitlist back in December 2021. Finally got a production number just over a week ago. I feel bad for you guys that have gotten bounced around from one week to another, repeatedly in many cases. I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me, but won't be surprised in the least if and when it does happen.
