** Build Week 25 Thread**

Well here we go, join the ultimate waiting machine family

Was on week 18 and got pushed to 25 after changing my build.

Canadian configuration

G80 M3C Xdrive

- Skyscraper
- 825M Oribit Grey Matt
- Carbon Fiber Interior Trim

Ultimate package
- Laser headlight
- M Carbon exterior Package
- Shadowline
- M Driver's Package
- Carbon Bucket Seats
- Harman/Kardon
- Kaylami Orange Full Merino

I believe carbon bucket seats and laser headlight has caused the delay, my laser headlight was deleted in original builder. Then it was added back by changing to ultimate package.

Is that screen capture the dealer view? Or is bmw.ca stuck in 1997?

It's dealer view, in Canada we don't have my garage, and Genius line don't give shit. We have to get order info from SA and sales manager.

Ah ok. I'm surprised CA's haven't complained enough to get MyGarage adopted, assuming they're pinged constantly by impatient customers.

I stopped asking my SA a couple weeks ago when I saw he was useless/didn't have more info than the recall tool

I wish I can do the same as US buyer, tho my F5 button will probably break in one month

I've been doing something similar : bookmarked the recall tool and I check it 4-6 times a day

I was from 10 all the way to 25..

Now I get used to not even bother checking. And hopefully it will be MY23

Definitely not wishing it on you, but prepare yourself. I don't know anyone that has had a smooth journey with this. BMW really shouldn't be taking any new orders because it's just not right to customers.

It would be easier if they were willing to offer discounts or no/reduced cost options for all those who keep getting delayed.

Another thing that sucks is we will likely take delivery late 2022, and once January comes we'll already lose a good chunk of value. Effectively, I put a deposit in 2021 for a 2022 that I'll get almost in 2023.

We can only wish.

Certain batch of vehicles built last nov sat in factory for 5 months due to component shortage and some of them are just leaving the factory now. BMW offered nothing to most of those owners and below thread documents that ordeal.

Just joined the week 25 Club. I wasn’t pushed back or anything. Had a late March allocation that was individual that got cancelled and then accepted today with the factory color.

Was wondering how BMW is handling that. Really sucks to have a MY22 sitting somewhere as people start receiving MY23s.

It may be kind of stupid for BMW to not give a discount on purgatory-cars, versus have people with orders for such pull out of existing deals and order a MY23 or buy another make. Then again, in the current crazy market some dealers would love to have anything finally arrive that they can sell marked up.

If it was already September and I did not have the deal I currently have, I would not balk at buying a new "arrived and sitting on our lot" MY22 for MSRP + $5K.

BMW called me today because I told the Genius that they were totally untrustworthy when it came to build timing. They insist that every other build week I've been given so far was just speculative, but that I'll definitely get built in week 25. Also, no promises that will happen. Hahaha. Wtf is going on at BMW.
