Mine flipped to 112 yesterday as well, glad to see everyone is making progress towards that fateful day!

1. They have to produce cars, it’s their business. 2. The only way BMW continues to make any money is by delivering our cars. 3. They don’t get paid until we get our cars. 4. Week 21 is very near the end of the model year and they need to clear your build (and mine at week 19) so they can build/sell/make money on the new models. 5. Unless something else pops up (knock on wood!) I’m pretty sure you’ll stay where you are (week 21). 6. Positive thoughts and keep hope alive!! 7. Why so hopeful you ask? I literally just went through this process with my M440. Took eight months from order to delivery! 8. It’ll happen |

How rolling disasters end
It looks like most people in weeks 18-21 all returned to status 112 concurrently. This makes me optimistic that BMW has finally applied the "big bath theory" to its problem.
The "big bath theory," as I consider it, comes from accounting and is basically that when bad news follows bad news follows bad news what one does is to shut up and analyze the situation in detail, to then report/acknowledge all the bad news at once using one and only one voice, and to adopt decisive measures concurrent with stating conservative expectations going forward. Sort of like cutting off one hand if that unequivocally ends death by 1,000 cuts. BMW's recent endless series of build week bumps and post production issues (there is a phrase for the QC holds, stop sales, etc. that I cannot remember, but it is basically when problems in a few percent of a product/service somehow cannot get resolved 100% -- e.g., week 49 cars from last year still not deliverable to customers) all are a PR nightmare that a company with high brand expectation and product price point has to address.

I am build week 20 and until recently I thought that it was the week from May 16th to 23rd. I saw another member saying that he is week 22 and week 22 according to the genius he talked to is May 23-30. So based on his timeline I thought my dates would be sometime between May 9 to 16. But if your timeline is the actual one which I hope it is, and week 21 is ending on May 13 or beginning on May 6th then week 20 would be April 30 to May 6th (I am so confused at this point because there are so many different dates ever time I see something it makes me question my dates..) which somewhat confirms the transition of 111 to 112 approx threw weeks before. |

Just called Genius. Looks like I'm still on team Week 21, which they clarified was *start* of production, and aligned with May 15 - 21, FWIW.
(Traditionally, I thought BMW switched from 111 to 112 about three weeks prior to production, so now it looks more like six weeks? Not sure if there's anything to read from that, or it just increases the odds I'll get downgraded to 111 again.)

I was wrong -- death by 1,000 cuts continues
Just went from Scheduled for Production (112) back to Order Received (111 or worse). Waiting for my CA to tell me what build week I am in now.
Previously 8, none, 18, and 19.

Suposedly only bumped from week 19 to 20
My CA says I am now scheduled for week 20, but I definitely went backwards in My Garage to merely "Order Received."

Thank you dude! Can't wait to share it honestly. Hopefully soon. I went back and forth quite a bit but decided to do it. What color did you go with?

I fell in love with Skyscraper Grey from the get go. I know it will keep me happy. But I plan to see if any changes come on MY23 (and hopefully there are none, I love the M4 as is), and then might build a second one completely individual.

Well, I just joined the Week 21 crew! Thought I'd say hi and fill you in on my journey. I ordered a g80 Comp X on Oct 23rd (5th in line for allocation), and then on March 14th finally received my allocation. I went immediately to status 112 at that time and was told I was Week 19. Upon further calls to Genius, I got bumped up to Week 14, then Week 15……and as of my latest phone call today, Week 21. And as others have said….Genius said my production "begins" Week 21. I'm in the US (Ohio)….so I'm guessing I won't see my car until mid to late July at the earliest
