I didn't see any Week 21 threads, so I figured I'd kick one off.

My allocation came up yesterday (3/7), and it looks like I'm at Status 111. Interestingly, the representative I spoke with on the Genius line had not heard anything about the plant closures in Europe, and said she would normally expect to be notified about such things, even though there were several news stories last week reporting as such (e.g. here). So who knows what the impact will be.

Can't wait (though I definitely will be)!

- Parking Assistance Package
- 19"/20" 826M bi-color wheels
- Carbon Fiber trim

A couple of curiosities:

- 4GQ M Seat Belts (which I thought were only available on the Competition models, so that's a nice bonus)
- 6UX iDrive Controller non-touchpad (which I think I had read elsewhere was a removed option due to supply issues, but I'm not too worried about this)

Last night I was on the factory website playing with different builds and noticed wireless charging is no longer available to include. No big deal there.

It has appeared and disappeared from the website a couple of times previously, I believe, but my CA told me the option is available to order. However, based on the results of my poll in another thread, I'm inclined not to spend the $500 on this and just try for a wired or other wireless solution instead. That's too expensive for something that 3/4 people say is crap.

some are speculating it's the carbon bucket seats. I was pushed from week 12 to 20, however someone recently was pushed from week 11 to 13 and they had the buckets.

From all the following i've been doing, buckets were the common variable (or maybe laser lights which I added to my spec 2 days prior to the delay). But honestly, it all seems very random right now.

I pushed from 11 to 20, and I have regular old man Tartufo. I think most or all 11s pushed to the back of the line.

I wonder if it's the carbon buckets that pushed you back...there seems to be some chatter about that. I spec'd them as well, so between that and my semi-Individual paint I won't be surprised if I end up getting bumped as well.

I was week 11. I have no options on my car and was pushed for week 16. I don’t think there’s any formula to this.

It looks like generally speaking people who have little to fully loaded besides carbon buckets and all have been pushed to completion week <= 16/17 and people who have the carbon buckets have been pushed later to 20-21+. Not sure if there are any outliers though. These are for people who were originally scheduled to complete week <= 13

I’m not sure. I’m thinking it has to do with the shutdown. I went status 112 on 3/4 and then got pushed back the next day. Hopefully I can get bumped up a few weeks.

Same man.. same.. I was so pumped when I went 112 (even 2 weeks early than expected) and then was teased and pushed all the way back here

According to BMW Genius, I am now Build Week 21. I believe I was "bumped"

Allocation was available in January, I put my name on it at my dealership and got my production number February 3, 2022. I was at "scheduled for production" a couple of weeks ago, but was reverted back to "order received" when the plant shut down. I contacted BMW Genius, and as of today (March 11) I am at Build Week 21 (with the usual caveats that this is an estimate and could change (for better or worse) at any time).

Welcome aboard. Another set of M Carbon buckets it looks like. I really hope BMW will be getting a metric s-ton of carbon buckets in early May for all these builds they're deferring.

Same. It has to be a shortage on the buckets as its the only common variable. So many other people have gotten fresh allocations and already going 112 but don't have the buckets.

I don't have buckets and I got pushed from week 9 to 10,11,12 and now supposedly at week 19.

Just spoke to Genius. (They've been really hard to get through lately... call back took 90 minutes.).

Anyway, I'm still at week 21, FWIW. I was half-expecting them to tell me it's been delayed until 2025.

Ha i've been feeling the same way. Any more delays and I think we'll get a '23 model. I'd be happy with that, however I do not want the iDrive 8 setup. If that was the case I would just back out.
