Not only will it show up right away, but it will also further delay your build. I also added the Carbon exterior when i was already 112 and feel very fortunate to only have been pushed back one week.

How long after you got 112 did you know your build week?

Right away. Same day. But that doesn't mean your build week won't change a bunch of times.

The BOL should be on Wallenius Wilhemlsen website. After that it shows everything that's loaded on the boat. You can then do ctrl+f and search for your car vin. If it's not there then it's at port or somewhere…

Your CA can give you the BOL information.

How to get BOL# by yourself (US & CANADA)
(NOTE: the VIN number no longer works in the Wallenius Wilhelmsen lookup tool)

From Bremerhaven to US and Canada (Halifax) with Wallenius Wilhelmsen:
First letter is always A, after, it's the boat number found in the schedule (ex.: Don Carlos = EA225). The last 2 digits are 01, 02 or 03 (must be tested - sometime US=01 and CAN = 02 or 03). (For Zeebrugee port, it ends by z1, z2 or z3)

(ex.: AEA22502 = boat Don Carlos to Halifax and AEA22501 = boat Don Carlos to New York) With that, if you have your VIN#, you can see in the list associate to a BOL# if your car is on a boat.

BOL # Works 2 days after the departure

It's crazy that it takes about 3 months after the car has already been built!

My timeline wasnt that bad and would have been better had i had chosen dealership delivery.

Several people are waiting for a while if their vehicle was stuck at QC or port waiting for a ship and there are plenty of discussions about those issues.

This isn't working for me. Any advice? I am trying to find my car on Wallenius Wilhelmsen. I can't get the BOL for Fidelio (ED214-FDE) from Bremerhaven to Hueneme. I've tried AED21401 to 03 and all other combinations I can think of. Thanks in advance!

And, I was able to get to the BOL for your Don Carlos example.

Hello all. Super informative thread.

So I'm trying to find a X3Mc production allocation in either August or September at a California dealer. I placed my order with a local SF Bay Area dealer a couple of months ago, but they have yet to secure a production date and have not been super communicative.

Anyone know of a California dealer who has line of sight to a production allotment in the next 30 - 45 days? Maybe wishful thinking, but thought I'd reach out to this brain trust

Thanks

Genius Line can't provide production week?

I'm waiting on two cars, an M3 6MT and an M340ix. I called Genius Line today to see if I can get a production week for both. M3 is status 112 but was told he can't see a production week. Can only see "scheduled for daily production pack." Is that normal? I thought once the car went to 112, Genius Line could give you a production week. M340ix was 112 with production scheduled for week 32. It dropped out of that status and now shows only "order received" on mygarage. I called the SA and he says production is now sometime in October. Again, Genius Line tells me the only thing they can see is "scheduled for daily production pack." Any help with what any of this means great appreciated.

I have tried this method to pull up the BOL for the Morning Lena which left Bremerhaven on 8/9 with stops in Zeebrugge 8/11; Halifax 8/22; New York 8/24; Brunswick 8/27; and Charleston 8/28. I went to Track and Trace, and entered AEA22701 and up came a BOL for the ship. However it contains only 159 BMW's all of which are to be offloaded in Halifax on 8/22. The page is labeled as page 1, and the tools to advance the pages are grayed out, and will not work. No amount of trying on my part has been able to bring up the other BOL pages for any of the other cars aboard which must be destined for the other ports on this voyage. Is there something else to do in able to see all the cars on board?

Try Jonas with Strom Auto Brokers. I was languishing on Steve Thomas' waitlist. Contacted Jonas on June 22. Found out two days ago I had an allocation and order is status 112. Of course for a couple of weeks there seem to have been no allocations because of the MY changeover. Not sure of production date as you can see from my post above. Probably not in your 45 day timeframe but the shortest timeline I've found in SoCal.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will reach out to Strom if I don't get a production date this week

Good luck. Found out I'm week 36, so 10 weeks from contact to build (unless BMW delays it).

Am I correct in believing that M4 allocation is better than M3 allocation currently?

I'm currently looking for M3 allocation in the Midwest, but might consider losing the extra doors and rear headroom if it is the difference in getting a car and not. Don't think I can wait a year.

One local dealer seems to have no line, but asking $5000 over and frankly I can't do that. I'm reaching up from M340i territory for a dream car and the timing is not good, obviously. Others no premium but have a line and are quoting 1 year wait.

Yes, thats the general sentiment but the whole allocation process is a hit or miss. Your best bet is to reach out to as many dealers as possible irrespective of the vehicle.

Thank you for the response, that's pretty much what I'm doing.

I did locate a 2023 M4 Comp X-drive convertible that's available almost immediately, but I'm not in the market for that. Hit or miss and all, just like you said.

Happy to report I got a production number - target build date early October. The real wait begins now!
