Ran the calc really quick and got 1600/month BEFORE taxes...the 2K is drive off I think...first payment and dealer fees.

If at MSRP and max MF it isnt necessarily a bad deal...decent these days but leasing now just blows with high MFs and low RVs.

Was offered 3.99 today for select financing for my scheduled build.

As I imagine my car won’t be here for another 2-3 months. Anyone care to chime in if they know or think the rates will increase or decrease from here.

Looked at a few finance options as well and the best I’ve seen so far is 3.19 for USAA.

Thanks in advance

Please take what you can get and do the math be it lease vs. Select vs. Traditional ...its unlikely rates will get better in the interim...think years out. If they do, you can always refinance. However, you can still avoid interest and pay the car off sooner, which would negate the rates.

Thanks, I’ll give them a call tomorrow to see how long my loan would be good for as I haven’t taken delivery.

Their rates just went up recently, I think they were 1.79% only a few weeks ago, hopefully they'll be good for a while.

Click the link I posted, then scroll down. But their rates seem to have jumped again since I posted the link. 3.79% now.

Loan Rates American1 FCU 2.99%

American1 FCU is still at 2.99% as of today on 72 months.
I've done several loans with Chelsea and she has been great to deal with.

'Best' leases now are pretty much at MSRP with no dealer add-ons and max MF. Google and teach self how to calculate a lease payment...leasehackr has a good calculator.

Has anyone had any luck with ordering one at msrp in the tri state? That doesn't require a non refundable deposit? I don't mind giving a deposit as long as it's refundable

Anything I'm missing?

Hey everyone, new guy here and first time posting.
Here are the deets:

Ordered a 23'M3 Base last weekend on 7/16/22 in Charlotte NC.
Was told I was 51st on their allocation list, and would have keys in my hand around Aug/Sept of 2023 est.

I wanted to attach my build and see if there is anything I should do in the mean time, this market is crazy right now so making sure I'm making the right decisions.

I told him to make sure they can keep me at MSRP and claimed he would, and didn't need to have it in writing, only thing is that if the order gets pushed to a 24' or BMW as a company raises anything then they would follow that.

Put $3,000 down, fully refundable before production starts.

I had him throw in rubber floor mats for free.

I'm driving a 2019 STI Limited, had it since Jan 2021, and since they've become discontinued, I think the timing is right to hopefully retain some value.

Attaching my printouts too. Ignore the %, he was giving an avg finance percentage.
I would go through a CU and get roughly:
2.79% /36
2.99% /37-60
3.29 /61-72

Looking at putting around $40K down from the sale of my STI + Cash.

Anything I'm being oblivious about??
Go easy on me, haha.
Thanks!

Oooof, 51st on the list, unless things change for the better this year, August/September of '23 is not realistic. If, and it's a big if, they got 5 allocations/month, that would mean you wouldn't get an allocation until August of '23 at the earliest, and delivery would be easily 3-4 months after that. Maybe January of '24.

I'd shop around if I were you. Sorry if I'm being a wet blanket here, but that's the way it is these days.

51st ?

My broker reached out with 2 allocations yesterday but ofcourse with a 5k markup.

If you want the car find a waitlist under 10 at least. Preferably under 5 ppl.

If not, I would say go the markup route if you are a motivated buyer.

You should definitely have the MSRP part in writing…

I agree with previous 2 posters if you are 51st on the list. We cannot predict interest rates, you cannot lock them in right now given you are so far out. In addition, you cannot predict the trade in or sale value of your car either. So the opportunity costs are increased interest rate plus reduced value of your current car vs. buying a car now with a markup. I would call around and at least find a shorter list…..

Full disclosure, I am in a similar boat for a GT3 and am not willing to pay anything above MSRP, therefore I am not expecting it for quite some time.

Also, 3,000 as a down payment is excessive IMHO.

Right, I think he mentioned 5allos per mo.
Hmm, even if it would come Jan '24, would it still be a '23 model, or would it have to be bumped to a '24 model and leave me paying a bit more somewhere? Never did an order like this so still figuring it out!

The sound of a '23M3 just has a nice ring.
