Tips doesn't change the exhaust notes.

Cosmetic only but those "titanium" look and carbon sure beats the way the plain Black tips would look. Placebo effect will be louder for sure

Even if you have inches of curb rash, I'm pretty certain that with a competent wheel repair shop it'll get it to a place you'll be happy with.

That’s the hope but as I said, it seems those repairs typically only last a year or so and then the finish they apply seems to flake off for whatever reason. Maybe the factory finish doesn’t play well with an aftermarket finish? I’m not sure. But either way it makes me scared to try it again.

Thanks and you bet. This is the vinyl i used. It has a sticky adhesive on the back, so I just cut a strip that covered the badge, pressed it on, then with magnifying goggles and an exacto knife, I carefully cut away the vinyl to reveal the shape of the badge. Takes some practice and a delicate approach, of course.

I'm curious to why, a few years ago I get it...it is a pretty car and well reviewed outside of their crappy dealer and reputation for reliability. I had a turn signal stalk break in my hand while being told the rep thing was over-blown on the internet.

But I am curious and do like the color combo you picked out.Does the 2023 have updates etc?

I wanted to try something else out. I love BMW M cars I had 3 F80s one was a CS. A X3M comp. A G80 and a G82 xdrive.

It's a 22 in Rossa Red Etna. I cant wait to ceramic coat it. It will really pop!

I only have 350 miles on it from the drive home.

My oh my the engine feels so racy and the exhaust makes wild cracks on up shifts and downshift. I was giddy the whole way home. Transmission is better tuned and feels more DCT like than the G8x. I just hope it will be reliable. Idrive is on a whole other level, but I was expecting that. . I will also miss the 3D cams.

Thanks! Yes the 825s and 826s were the hardest wheels I have ever cleaned.

You say that color is "silver," but from what I can find online it appears to be "metallic aluminum;" is that correct?

Also, I think what you have is a 12"x24" roll; can you confirm and if so was one roll enough?

They did. Need to get on waiting list for it. It looks like the same blendmount for R7 works for the R8 too. I recently bought a blendmount for R7 from a forum member here since I was getting impatient. Will provide an update once I get it.
