Painted reflectors
I'm tempted to replace both the front fender and rear bumper reflectors. However, I'm a little more concerned about the latter, in terms of "hiding" my car in the dark when parked at night. Are there other passively reflective elements (e.g. in the tail lights) that would help make the car more visible to traffic if those reflectors are deleted?
(I don't have my car yet.)

all good, from the rear I'd say the side reflector isn't great. IMO the rear reflectors in the bumper don't bother me and I replaced my front ones. But I suppose it will look slightly cleaner with them painted. I didn't want to go through the hassle of installation

Does anyone know whether the 3-series and M3 have the same size/shape front fender reflectors? They look like it but I wanted to verify, since Lamin-X doesn't seem to list them for the M3. Likewise I'm wondering for the rear reflectors. https://lamin-x.com/bmw-3-series-19-...er-covers.html https://lamin-x.com/bmw-3-series-m-s...er-covers.html

Yeah, those are cool too. But the tinted ones retain some functionality, are cheaper, easier to install, and still likely come close to matching my paint color (Dravit). You should consider offering both options to customers.

The goldenwrench overlays are another alternative. I have and love them. They appear black (with hex pattern) but do reflect light as well
(edit: apparently can't link to them) |

I kind of prefer the stock over the painted reflectors. The painted ones never look like they seat evenly around the edges and looks a little messy to me. I like that last idea that no one can link to

These might be perfect. Thank you. I wasn’t crazy about losing rear reflection if parked for safety and insurance/liability reasons, but really dislike the red on IOMG. And now I don’t have to remove rear bumper screws.
