I guess I am swimming downstream in some peoples eyes....but was looking for a little more practicality with 4 doors....but yet a fun weekender! Hope I am not disappointed as my 911 was fantastic.
I had a 21 manual C2S cab for a few months after getting rid of my 17 manual M3 (I MISS IT!)...didn't really care for the 992 and sold it over original MSRP...taking into account taxes, etc it cost me about $1K/month to drive for the time I had it.

Though super fast and great handling for me it had way too much road noise (almost no insulation on these cars) and since we were going to use partly as a fun road trip cruiser it wasn't going to cut it...also zero practicality which I knew going into it but even getting one set of golf clubs in a carry bag in and out of it was an ordeal.

Now I'm going to wait to see what happens with manual M3 LCI next year and maybe order one as I discovered I really missed 4 doors and a trunk!

Can anyone explain the process of adding the “m-performance carbon fiber breather inserts” to your build? I reached out to my sales advisor to find out how much it would be to add them to the build, he said he would reach out to the parts department…..?

Currently have the exterior carbon fiber pack on my build, its a shame these aren’t included. Figured it would be more cost effective to add them as a port installed option instead of buying them afterwards?

Thanks!

I purchased those, the door sills and the front splitter and all three were port installed items.

Breathers - $1180
Front Splitter - $2650
Sills - $335

You may be able to get all of those for less $$ (OEM) from an aftermarket reseller. Which would be a benefit over port install. But then you pay cash and don't roll it into your payment (which can be a plus or minus depending on your perspective).

Would it be incorrect for me to assume that the price for the breathers and sills is for the pair respectively?

Thanks!

You got that correct. That's the price per pair.

You can do better on these prices if the dealer is going to charge you post order.

Anyone know how much the big rear wing costs and how much additional time it would tack on to a PCD?

same. my pcd is in 13 days and I regret not going with the CF pack but dealer has no idea if you can add any of this stuff at port
Yes you can!
By mistake external carbon package did not get put in my order & dealer is having it installed at the port.
Talk to your SA, it CAN be done.
Good luck!

It's listed on the build in My Garage on the order, so I would assume when your car hits 150 status "Production Begins", it's no longer able to be added. I could be wrong....

Changes to your production spec can't be made once it hits 150, but I'm pretty sure that port-installed options can be done at least until it leaves the factory, if not later. calbears can probably confirm.

Added/modified until it reaches US port of entry

I did the same "downgrade" but with an extra step. I traded my 2019 911 C4S (991.2) PDK with 9k miles on it for an ordered 2021 M5 Comp (refreshed LCI) MBB over Silverstone. The M5 was amazing, break-neck fast, however too large and "luxurious" for my needs. I also have a G82 xdrive at the port. I think this will be a better fit for me.

IMO, when going for a 911, you really need to spec a GT model, otherwise I didn't feel it was so special to me as I thought it would be (the 2 water pump failures @ 3k and 6k miles didn't help my love fade for that car). Maybe it was the color (Agate Grey metallic over bordeaux red). Probably should have gone with a more dynamic color. Didn't get tired of looking at the Porsche Crest on the steering wheel.

True, my CA priced out adding the package on an existing car was $12k installed vs $4700 for the Exterior CF pkg. I also spec'd the CF side breathers on my build for $1180 option

This site shows most of the port options but not all, unfortunately. On the bright side, u can see how they look, assuming they're exterior things.

Personally, got me eye on them brushed bronze wheels. What y'all think bout them? I'm rocking frozen PB

Sort of side note — was talking to a dealership that had an M3 base on the lot. It had the carbon ext pack as well as the front carbon splitter for $2700. They said it was a port installed addon. Wouldn’t that piece be included in the $4600 carbon pack? Or is it a stand alone piece? I just assumed it was a dealer addon gimmic for them to make more cash.

splitter is not part of the carbon exterior package. It's separate and can be port installed
