When's your production date? I'm dying to see the oxide/fjord combo more. I'm leaning this way - with bicolor 825s

Thanks to TLG for the mub flaps there are a must 👍

Lost the tire lottery, will have to smoke them after the first service and get the Michelins on.

I was considering this colour a lot. It was one of my first choices but I went with Dravit in the end for a little "stealthier" look. However, seeing your photos really makes me question my choice

What exhaust do you have on the car?
Those tips look nice

Thank you! I love the colour, always makes me smile when I see the car, especially when all clean

I have the Top Gear full turbo-back exhaust with sport downpipes and chrome tailpipes. Here's a video of how it sounds:

https://streamable.com/f47l6q

I am getting some resonators welded on to tone down the rasp and reduce the volume a little bit as it is very loud with valves open

Sounds great. Thanks for the video as well
I think with some resonators in the middle it will be spot on. Would love to hear the difference in sound once it's done.

Also, as I saw that you're in the UK, I suppose you have removed the OPF filters. Have you used some OPF "deleters" (and if yes, which ones) and does the exhaust come with threads in it for the opf sensors?
I'm asking because I'm based in the EU as well and from everything I saw, we are very limited in options once we want to change the midpipe as well as the axle back due to the OPFs.

Some pictures to see how the setup looks from behind (when you have the time) will be greatly appreciated as well

No problem, the resonators are being welded on as we speak, exhaust shop said my car will be ready tomorrow for pick up.

This is the original system, catted downpipes (not pictured) + a full catback exhaust with a H-pipe setup (pictures below):

I had to make an adjustment to the midpipe... it was MEGA loud with the catted downpipes and horrible drone at 1900 rpm

So I got my exhaust shop to weld on some sport cats on the midpipe where the secondary cats would be on the stock exhaust:

Sounds much better (as per video) but still a bit loud and raspy for my liking so now they are welding resonators on for me:

Regarding OPF I got the Leib Engineering delete cables from which cost me about 300 EUR - you need 2 OPF pressure sensor mount points on your midpipe as the original probe needs to be connected for Euro spec cars. The delete cables go in between the original connection and the sensor cables and essentially normalise the readings so the ECU thinks there is no issues.

Tomorrow I will find out how it sounds

I know that we need to have the OPF sensors connected so that the car doesn't go into limp mode. That's why I was asking if the exhaust had the mounting probes for the sensors or if you had to modify it. Currently only one or two options out there that I came across actually have such a variant of their systems (for OPF equipped cars).

Nevertheless, you answered all my questions. Thanks for the great and very detailed answer
Looking forward to some sound clips with the resonators

P.S: Let's not turn this into an "exhaust" thread
Keep the photos of your car and this awesome colour coming

Absolutely love this color! Was going back and forth on Skyscraper and Black and figured this was just more unique, and in the sunshine it looks like it really pops.

Thought I'd post my new M3.
Ordered April 4, delivered July 21.
Manual, Oxide Grey, Kyalami buckets, carbon exterior. Got the windows tinted and full front + pillars + roof PPF.

The bucket seats are really quite amazing. From the various threads I thought they would be uncomfortable but quite the contrary. I've done four hours non-stop in them and no problems/numbness at all. Huge range for seating positions... can move the seat way up or feel like it's scraping the ground. I haven't sat so low in a car since my high school Fiero.

I like that this car looks somewhat aggressive but not overly so - and this color is the perfect grey in my opinion. Like a champagne almost when the sun hits, which is constantly down here.

Did anyone else notice that BMW removed Oxide Grey as a standard color option for the m3? I remember seeing the 2021 models have it in the regular visualizer

Stunning. Even more so in your pics earlier in this thread. Great choice on the wheels - definitely suits lighter more. 👌

Yes such a shame, I wanted to order my M3 in this color like I had on my M340i but no go even in Canada.

I placed the order in Dravit Grey but I did not like the color at all so modified the order for Individual Malachite.

Still would of preferred to pay less and get Oxide.
