Current base rate is 4.29% for 60 months and 4.79% for 72 months.

Yes, people are still paying markups and its being discussed in several threads in Pricing / Ordering section.

Call/email around. I started emailing dealers in mid august. I placed a deposit to get on a M3 list 8/22 and got an allocation 8/29. I’m Status 112 now.

I ended up with a MSRP allocation locally but could’ve had one out of state at 3 different dealers (all east coast). I passed my leads onto other bimmerpost members I saw in the Sept allocation thread and at lest once confirmed they got one.

I think it’s easier to get these than people represent (or maybe BMW just released a ton on 8/29 and I got really lucky).

Either way, I actually test drove a M3 today and loved it so I’m now super excited to get mine.

My dealer told me yesterday my MY23 M3 Comp is expected September 15. I also got a firm price for which they would purchase my M550. Looks like I will have about 13K equity in that car. So…. IF the new car arrives as suggested (I originally placed my order Nov 2021, so I'll believe it when I see it!&#128521, I might be close!🤞Let the financing games begin! I haven't decided if I'm going to lease or loan, tough decision right now.

My dealer marks up rates by 1% but sells at MSRP. Is this standard practice or just another way to mark up prices?

iam working on

MSRP
and i was inquiring on a lease too which they said MF would be .00240 ( ATROCIOUS!)

MSRP on car is $97150

ONLY thing on car i could care less for is the BLAND ALPINE white, and the M drivers pacakge.. the fact that it does not have extended leather too is a bummer.

This has become more common since last year and several people are reporting this. Its just another way to maximize their profit even though they sell the vehicle only for MSRP.

this happens consistently.. Reserve has been around forever. Some transactions you can go with it, some not so much.. just depends on the whole scenario.

credit, what the bank allows, etc..

Sleazy dealers do it all the time but i see that percentage has increased drastically in the recent past based on what i have heard from friends & family and also the reports in the forum.

Not too sure if Iam feeling the terms atm

Iam able to get the car at msrp no mark up ( initially wanted 5k over)

If I get on a list for a build it will be like 6-10 months

I think rates have gone up for everything. But I'm not giving the dealer an extra percent on top of the higher rate just because it's their "policy." The dealers around me also mark up every car in stock by $10k. Not just M cars but every car I look at on the showroom floor. People are buying I guess so everyone is happy.

Agreed. They say it's their "policy" so it sounds official and non negotiable. BS!

well what i meant by it all depends on the scenario..its true.. sometimes there is very challenged credit customers who a bank fee applies to. sometimes these bank fees can be substantial, so being allowed to add rate allows them to absorb the bank fee etc. Not everyone is a 750+

Man those are some high car payments. Do a lot of people actually have car payments that high?

The odd thing is I got 4.49% for 72 months on both my X7 and M3. My X7 I picked up last week Wednesday and for M3 I rate locked this past Friday.

I have been using the below source and not sure if they have any typos for this month.

I wonder if it's a regional thing... or perhaps this dealer is quoting a slight inflation?

Below is my contract info for the X7. As for the M3, for the rate lock all I have is a signed quote from the dealer promising 4.49% at 72 months rate lock which both myself and the dealer signed.
