G82 chasing 765LT on buttonwillow cw13

link to video.

very first track day with the new G82 M4 I accidentally bought.
Didn't expect much from this heavy 1.8 ton car. but the result is pretty good. I love how the car turn into corner, and the factory camber setting.
even tho it's non adjustable in the front without camber plate. the factory spec alignment gives -1.5 camber. which is pretty good for couple laps on the track. it will eat through the outside tire, but at least there is some camber after all. rear is fully adjustable. toe and camber. but without adjusting the front, I leaved it at -1.9 rear.

the driver on 765lt is not good, but it's fun to watch. 765lt will do 1:45-1:46 easy. but well. bmw driver never lose ! .

ok , here is the fun lap for my frist track day and first hot lap in this AMAZING G82 M4. love the car. Love the comfy seats. another video is the dash cam with little slow laptime in the afternoon. music on. traction control full OFF> BMW DRIFT MODE ON

LOL. Great videos, so happy to see other M owners using these cars for what they are designed and intended to do.

RE 71 RS, 275/35/19 all around
this tire will do one hero lap and that's it. really is the worst tire I ever use for track day. It's made for light weight vehicle. I heard a052 is about the same experience. but I haven't try it. I will try it next week.

Happy I just saw your post I was almost about to order a set in 285/35-19 square. Thinking Supercar3 might be a safer choice.

nankang AR1 is only good when you can't get 3R. I tried it on my 720s , they are ok. not amazing.

hossier R7 , you better off go for hankook motorsport tire. r7 is too old and they are not any faster than good semi slick.

Using up a set of BF Rival 1.5 275-35/19 square right now but will be going continental extreme force 295-30/19 after, was told by many they wear almost like RS4s but grip better and give a consistent grip without being sentitive to heat and pressure like other hero lap tires. Not as fast as the current top dogs but I'm not winning any competition and its probably a good idea to try to gain time trough better driving than covering mistakes with a grippier tire.
