At this late stage your options are very limited. Most are settling with all seasons (if you can even find those). Skim backwards through this thread for tribal knowledge. I knew I wanted Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 winter tires, which I luckily ordered back in August. By most accounts Costco was the last place to have them available -- but that was weeks ago. |

And if you're able to go this route and you decide to change things up for next winter, you could probably sell the 829M set on here for a decent amount next fall/winter (particularly if you price them to account for the tire wear over the next few months). Seems more fun than having your car sit for months.

Anybody running spacers with the 829s? Apparently there were a few sets in stock just waiting to be received. I just paid for them at another local dealer who actually called for availability. So maybe, just maybe I’ll get a set later this month. Car probably won’t be here for a while anyway

Thanks, that helps a lot. Spacers are cheap enough that if the wheels do come in I’ll probably do a dedicated winter set of spacers to go with the wheels. Can you post some more pictures of your car with them?

829s were sold out as far back as late Nov. PA-5s I got from Costco in Dec but probably sold out now. Worth calling around to see. Wheels, go aftermarket. Got mine from forum sponsor, eas.

$2600 OTD. Sorry for the delayed response. Finally had our 1st snow here in CO over New Years - the car is incredible on the snow and ice with the Vred tires. Super happy with them and no ride/comfort issues with the 20”s.

They just came yesterday. I’m going to install them this week, I’ll post pics. I got 15mm front and rear.

It rides very well though. Apparently the front will settle more, I just haven't driven it enough |

The imbalance doesn't look as bad with the 20's on the rear. Spring time can't come quick enough! M3's are usually a little rear biased for tye 50:50 weight distribution |

I was finally able to take the car out after a long while and the Michelin PA5 winter tires are more like a good all-season. For snow and ice like we get in Minnesota and combined with a RWD, you need a real, 'extreme' winter tire to be comfortable.
Setting off up a hill from a stop with compacted snow, you're going to lean on DSC while still only using 15 mm of the gas pedal travel. Expected and doable, but after years of AWD in the winter, it's still going to take some time to get used to it.

If you are coming from AWD to RWD, you definitely need to adjust your driving habits off the line. That being said, i am impressed with how well the LSD and M traction control do, you can still accelerate after you gain some grip.
