Nice!

My brother has been in the auto industry for 15 years or so and he always gets crazy discounts. When the F82 M4 first came out in 2015 he got one hell of a deal too

Similar story here, I really wanted an M3 but the dealer said it was not going to be available for another year so I order a 2021 M340XI back in late August but it was taking so long that I changed my order to the M3 in early December when my dealer started taking M3 orders. The M340 still seating in a lot in the Mexico plant and who knows when it gets here is been over 16 weeks already, hope the M3 is not going to take this long. Sorry to hear about your M340 I'm sure it was an anomaly since these cars are pretty reliable but you will have a better car now.

Thanks

I can't agree more, and can't wait to get behind the wheel. This is truly a longtime dream come true.

I learned to drive on my mother's 1987 Subaru XT and my father's 1990 Ford Explorer Sport. Both were manual.

My first car ('87 300ZX) and my third car ('04 Dodge 1500), were automatics. I hate automatics. I don't feel like I'm really driving unless I'm in control of the clutch and the shifts.

The value of this stripper M3 to me is that I've dreamed of owning an M3 since I was a kid and...(for now) I can still get it with a manual transmission.

These automobiles are a dying breed, not only for the fact that people aren't buying (or don't know how to drive) manuals anymore...but because the transition to all electric cars is the Grimm Reaper come to collect.

I will keep this car until either I die or it does, and it's value will always be priceless to me.

I expect to take the keys in July and will definitely provide in update once I do so.

Congrats! This too will be my first BMW as well! I wanted to be part of the manual transmission BMW M series family before they decide to go hybrid or electric. Glad to see I'm not the only new BMW owner in this thread.

Nice! I was originally going with a comp but missed out on the allocation so had a rethink. Concluded that, given the vanishing number of opportunities to get a manual, I really couldn't pass up the opportunity. If this ends up being the last manual M3 and I didn't get it I know I'd be kicking myself

First M3

This is going to be my first M3. I know I am probably going to get a lot of shit for this but its going to be my daily driver so I am getting a moonroof. My questions are 1. Why are so many of you choosing to get the 18/19 wheels and 2. does orange and green really go together??? Below is my build.

1. I don't expect many to "downgrade" to the 18/19 wheels on the Competition model unless they want to keep those as a winter set and buy aftermarket wheels for the summer.

2. Green and Orange definitely go well together and it's the launch color combo on the M3. Some will tell you they don't but that's their personal view. If you like the launch pics/vids then that's what matters most!

If I was going for IOMG I'd def be getting the orange, I think it looks awesome. Also - remember there are a few new colors available but not showing on the configurator. Red (forget the name) and tortufo are no additional cost, can't remember if there are others yet. That gives you a couple of options that are likely a little more unique than the first wave of cars that'll come out
