Not to mention these look like the carbon ceramics, unless poor-man CC's are standard.

You're not. Folding hard tops are a travesty, heavy and complex.

Especially with the 20" wheels ... they look lost in space compared to the 6-pots on the 19" front rims.
Also the car seems to have ceramic front rotors and iron rotors on the rear.

Hood line - not again

Oh dear, when I saw the new 4 series concept I was so happy that they finally got rid of that stupid, hideous hood-line (ruined the F8x for me). Now it seems that that the line returns, please no

What are your guesses? In 2012 the 4 series concept had the line as well as the production car. Is there any hope for me?

The hood line will be there. That has already been confirmed.

You know the old 4 series looked good a decade ago. This is a decade later. Big grill are in, just like BBL are in. Remember to look for a registered plastic surgeon. So no more whining about the grill being big. You don't like don't buy, get a lexus.

Vert profile is nasty though. I don't get those cars at all.

Unfortunately no. We've had endless threads about the new 4. It would be an endeavor to find that post.

Fair enough. I just do not understand why BMW is doing this. I understand that back in 2012 there were new pedestrian law issues going on, they had the line as well on the 5 and 7 series for example. However, on the new 5 and 7 series they got rid of the line suddenly so why not for the new 3/4 series (and new 1/2 series)? Audi for example never had a hood line. Can someone tell me WHY? It ruins the whole front design IMHO

Hood line is disgusting!

It breaks all the front.

Just imagine the 7, 5 or 8 series with a hood line..... instantly worse cars!

Embarrassing for BMW. One of the selling points of my F30 was the decent fixed 2 pots on the back with the M Sport Plus brakes.
I see the M6 lot have taken to buying caliper covers to hide the ugly rear floating brakes.
Sort it out BMW

Do you think the exposed light rust colored muffler will make production?
It's hideous, can't they put a rear valance back there?

Absolutely, no bueno. Hopefully they can be optioned away. I really thought the days of these eye-sores were history on the M cars.

Well I will disagree with you there. I went from an E90 to an M5 and trust me aside from the power, the E90 was better at everything. M5 was good at going fast straight and maybe destroying a few modified S3's LOL... Then the F80 M3 Comp which was what I wished the E90 was. So to say regular BMW are not as good as, is wrong, get a I6 and that is a real BMW. Anything less in Cyl is just not.
E90 body style was beautiful

I've asked Scott directly about the hood-line and it will NOT be like the Concept, the line will cut across the hood.

That's exactly what I was relaying to him, but unfortunately I didn't have the time nor the energy to find the post for him.
