Just adding my results to the thread. Super Sports with 12f/15r spacers. Considering just going to 15f as 12 is still a little sunken in to me.

Has anyone done this install themselves on xdrive? I had a hell of a time. Couldn't clear the front axle so I'm trying again later this week with a new idea.

I’m 3/4 through on a G83. Drop the top hat from the top and you get just enough clearance. My issue is the rear looks great. Just over 1 inch drop. I finished passenger side front but it looks stock. Maybe less than half and inch drop. When I compare springs to OEM they the exact same size.

You on xdrive? The top hat is just the 3 additional e bolts up top?

Yep. XDrive. 4 e14 torx on the top around the strut nut. Didn’t even remove the fender liner. You have to wind the spring off and on but it was way easier than removing the shock.

Thanks BobEMac I had tried doing it today and ran out of attention. Put it back together. Going to my friend's garage with a lift this week to knock it out. But the lift wouldn't have helped much without your advice!

I have and while it was a pain getting enough force to push down the rotor/hub/caliper assembly, I was able to get it to clear the bottom of the strut and took the entire strut and spring out in one piece.

I used this video for info and motivation to try myself. Just be sure you have the tools required to do so safely. Strut spreader tools, strut nut socket, and a safe and reliable spring compressor.

Did the spring rate for the super sport change? The drop for the rear now shows .6" vs 1" from before.

I noticed this too. I've just emailed H&R to clarify.

I do recall reading somewhere here that someone who has put on the super sports noticed that the rear drop wasn't as advertised (it wasn't 1inch as advertised) and reached out to H&R. Perhaps H&R have now updated their specs to it's correct amounts.

I Bought the super sport springs in June a couple days after ordering the G80. I Received my car last week and installed it right away.
I was surprised how the rear didn’t lowered as expected!!
Then I started to read a couple posts here and realized H&R changed the specs on their website within the last weeks….
The ride is real good, but the look is not on par!

COME ON….. so disappointing from a business like H&R…

Can anyone confirm if the springs have changed? Having some struggles with AST springs and just thinking of swapping to H&R.

They've been on for a year or more.
Tried grabbing one without tire shine and without too much of a shadow, as that can confuse things.
Hope this helps.

What are yall experiences with the drop? I guess this g80 platform is known for steering sticking and doesn't return entirely to the center when applying slight input. It is more pronounced after I dropped with H&R springs. Could you guys also share your front camber number after the drop? Mine has .5 neg more on right side compare to left

This doesn't look that hight as everyone is saying on the sport one. Looks like Super Sport to me.
Anyone tried both and have pic to see them side by side.
