Product Page(s) / Pricing / Flow Charts / Additional Photos / Etc: dinan.info/G8X-SB

Description: The Dinan G8x Strut Tower Brace provide additional rigidity and sharper handling to the chassis by reducing flex under hard cornering conditions. With more control, spirited driving becomes easier and infinitely more enjoyable. The lightweight brace is designed with maximum function in mind and includes linking structural elements that completely change the OEM 2-piece strut bar set into one blended system that offers additional strengthening against flex. Not one to take a back seat to functionality, aesthetics are also elevated beyond simple steel bars into striking carbon fiber (matte or gloss) with accents that tie in effortlessly into the highly geometric and angular factory engine bay for an OEM+ feel.

The imposing carbon fiber brace can be installed in a matter of minutes and used in conjunction with either the stock or Dinan intake systems. While the brace was designed to specifically tie into the latter for a harmoniously balanced and unified appearance the brace can also stand on its own and elicit nearly as equally an impressive visual.

Features/Benefits:
  • Improved chassis rigidity
  • Decreased flex during cornering
  • Lightweight: 5.6 lbs lighter than stock (Dinan CF: 2.8 lbs vs OEM Steel: 8.4 lbs)
  • 2x2 twill carbon fiber with inset aluminum mounting points for increased strength and improved visual appeal
  • Multiple finish options: Available in Gloss or Matte Twill Carbon
  • Designed to mesh seamlessly with the Dinan cold air intake creating an aesthetically unified engine bay
  • Bolt-on installation using factory mounting hardware

OEM+ With Flair and Versatility

Central to Dinan's development process for decades has been the desire to create a cohesive package with parts working harmoniously with one another for a sum that is greater then its individual parts. Often this philosophy did not have to entertain aesthetics as parts were either hidden or did not come into contact with one another. With the G8x platform, this was not the case and afforded us the opportunity to express our creative side on an engine bay that had numerous visible parts interacting with one another. The intake and strut brace are the core of these modifications --- although not the end. Tying in stylistically with the OEM components, and playing off design cues from one another, the result is a breathtaking engine bay that is above reproach.

With the addition of a matte carbon option to both the intake and brace, there are also numerous combinations possible to express your unique style or carbon preference.

No. This would be an alternative/replacement for a CSL brace and be compatible with all intakes (OEM and aftermarket).

Dinan Badging Removal

How are the DINAN letters adhered? Is it removable adhesive or are these there to stay?

Cool design but honestly, the DINAN lettering is terrible. 👎

Yeah, I'd replace the DINAN logo w/ a ///M logo emblem or something.

They have an adhesive backing that is pretty robust but its still a pretty small/narrow footprint so I wouldn't think removal would be unfathomable or anything. Just take a bit of elbow grease, care and cleaning up afterward.

The lettering style mimics the Dinan egg on the intake that it is designed to pair with and is a bit of an inverted variant of the branding on legacy strut braces. If you don't care for it, that's fine -- we think as a package it goes really well together but like noted above if the desire is to not have any branding on it, the path is there.

Better looking and cheaper option than the OEM CSL strut brace. And fair enough to have your logo on it. By chance any distributor in Germany?

Don't believe Stoll (our German Importer) has placed an order for any. Usually a bit shy on the suspension stuff in general to be perfectly honest but give them a call at +49 7741 6000-66 or use the contact form at www.dinancars.de and you can inquire directly. I am sure they would be happy to assist.

Alright, they have it posted in their shop now. But man, why do I have to pay double price in Germany? That‘s a bummer.

Mainly due to the inclusion of VAT and shipping in the cost I would presume but they also do the TUV and ECE certifications so everything meets European legal requirements.

Next batch of gloss CF is due in any day so assuming QC goes to plan a fair amount of the existing backorders will probbaly ship by some time next week.
