I heard the OEM rear pads in particular only last 15-20k miles. You are probably due for pads all around.

I didn’t do anything to break them in. I just drove normally and after I had them installed, took it easy testing them for about mlle to make sure they worked and nothing was wrong.

As far as bite, I did change my brake setting from sport to comfort as the feel is now much better in comfort. With stock, sport setting was my preference as there was a good amount of travel and kind of a “off/on” feeling to those stock pads. With these is2000, they just feel great and have a more gradual feeling of the harder you push the more they stop you. Because of this, I’d say they provide about 40% more stopping power before they lock up the wheels, meaning stock pads will force you to lock up the tires 40% sooner than the is2000s which is incredible….it’s incredible that the is2000 have such better feeling to them then stock and they also do not heat up the way stock pads do.

When I would use the car daily, then put it away and use e-brake, the pads would clunk off when I use the car next as they were hot when I shut the car off. That does not happen at all anymore with the is2000s. Hope this all makes sense answers your question.

I have only 12,000 miles and my pads still look new so I’m not a good reference point to ask when you should replace them; I did it because of squealing and dust, not because they needed it.

You can reuse the same sensors if they have no wear on the plastic "hump" of the sensor that wears away. Just take care when removing them from existing pads.

Silly question - should the bedding-in process but done on freshly washed rotors with as much iron contaminant removed as possible (not changing rotors this time, just pads).

I did nothing but make sure my breaks worked when I pushed them for about half a mile, then I used them normally 🤷‍♂️😆

I’m still hear singing their praises so I think that’s up to you.

Anybody know if anyone has them in stock? I ordered a set from Turner and it’s been back ordered for over a month now.

Finally had them installed. Tech was worried that may rattle since they're missing the "counterweights" or shims or whatever you call them that the OE pads have.

No far zero noise. I have the IS2000s and honestly, the bite feels pretty much like stock, maaaaybe a touch more?Definitely a very linear feel to the braking power, which I like.

Did I mention, ZERO NOISE. the drive home almost brought a tear to my eye, not sounding like a freight train at every damn stop. Haven't bedded the brakes yet and not sure if I even need to?

Will wash the car tomorrow and report back on dust in a week.

10/10 would highly recommend.

Did you do front and rear both IS2000?

Yup, bought them back in early April from RGSport before they started to become more scarce.

Not sure I understood the 40% sooner comment. If the oem pads lock the wheels 40% sooner then they must have better stopping power - you just have to modulate the brake pedal. Did you mean something else?

More than likely everyone is out of stock. You'll have to call around but once everyone gets depleted you just have to wait till the manufacturer ships out which can be months as you've already experienced.
Which ones are you looking at because sometimes the 2000s are in stock vs the 1500s or vice versa.

Thanks! I ordered the 2000’s. It looks like the 1500’s are in stock at some vendors. Not sure how different the two are in terms of performance but from the reviews the 2000’s perform a little better than 1500 and same as OEM with minimal dust so that’s the one I’m aiming for.

Just be aware that just because they show in stock online doesn't mean they are. Many of us have had that issue so it's best to call or message them to be sure! Either way good luck on receiving them soon!

2,000 miles on IS2000 (front) and EBC Redstuff (rear). Zero noise, much less dust, and factory-like stopping experience in all conditions. 10/10 would recommend.

There is more pedal feel is what I meant with the is2000s.

I can't comment enough on how much my enjoyment of the car has increased with quiet brakes. Seems like a silly thing but it really was bothering me.

At this point, that is basically why I'm doing it.

I just bought mine a week or two ago and I'm just waiting for them to come in stock. Literally buying because I can't stand the squealing but also reduced break dust. Hopefully will have them in another week or two.
