I have 10mm all around on P0’s / RWD with no rub at all. It looks very close up front to rubbing the liner at full lock, so I’d imagine anything more will rub.

Pirellis rub with my 10mm, xDrive. They don't rub on a RWD car. The xDrive car has a quicker steering rack, which apparently changes the steering angle, every so slightly, just enough for the tires to rub, in that last little bit, in reverse.

So if car has Pirellis, 5 in front and 10 back? If you did 12 back might not look proper.

Edit: actually pic 3 is the front. That’s with 10mm spacers.

I have a 23 comp xdrive. Just put on 12mm future classics on front and rear and rub pretty hard on front while backing up and turning. Has any on successfully trimmed your fender to do away with this? I see a couple of pics in this thread, but were these lasting solutions? thanks!

I believe people have had success with the trimming option but I used a heat gun. Slowly heated up the area where it makes contact and once playable I pressed it forward and held it there until it cooled. I just used a leather work/gardening glove for the hand that I was holding it with because I got it pretty hot (didn’t want anything cracking when I pushed it forward). Seems to have worked great. Have heard zero contact since.

Can someone confirm what is the largest spacer size that will not rub with Pirellis and STOCK height?
Specifically, I’d like to know if if 12F/12R will work and if not if 10F/10R will work…with stock height. Thanks! |

No one has reported problems with 10/10. 12/12 (and greater) has had mixed results. I’m personally running 10/10 eBay spacers with zero issues.

Just trimmed them all. Took 15 minutes with a Dremmel. Easier than trying to cut them, at least it was for me.
Edit: Let me clarify, I cut all of the ones on the outer column (the column furthest from the engine on both sides, hope that makes sense). I left all the other ones alone. |

Has anyone tried modifying their fender liner to be like the ones that IND offers? Wonder if I can just cut the finds out and glue or somehow attach some mesh in its place

I have 15mm on all for corners with Perelli’s and I am lowered. I had the expected contact with the vents after installing the spacers. Pulled both front wheels and used a heat gun to make the area where the tire was contacting the vents pliable. Once hot enough I pushed and held them forward. Here is some North Idaho engiuity for you. Grabbed a handful of snow and held it on the heated area to cool it because they want to go back to original shape. This worked perfectly and I was very happy to see that they did not start rubbing again once I lowered the car. I can go full lock forward and reverse without any issues. Also, just as a side note, I do not rub on the rear fenders with three grown adults in the back. It looks like they would rub but the rear tires just barely clear the fenders. Perfect setup for me!
