Check this thread. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1916684
Thanks, although if I went that route I want the M performance coil overs so was wondering if theres a hidden part number in Germany somewhere. I dont really want KW or another aftermarket brand. Hoping for pricing similar to this: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/5...ANCE-COILOVERS
I would hope the cost was the same. But the only suspension that I know of for the G8X is just the springs. But knowing our cars, add $1,000 to that price to get the cost of ours. Even if the kit isn't worth the price. It seems like the fact that the car is $20k-$30k more, that justifies the $3,800 for the bmw g80 kit. But we will see.

Fresh off the lift. Rear max low, front about 1/2 way. 16mm drop F/R. Measured from the bottom lip of the rim to the fender. Backing it out, to do the alignment. Then it has to settle. Pretty good drop for M Performance.

Thank you. I wanted to come down and see you guys, but, trying to get the coordination to get down there without bringing 2 cars and Theme park tickets was too much. I just went local.

The car is still on the alignment rack. I'm going to address that before I even drive off. I already mentioned it to the mechanic.

Looks good! That is about the same
as my G83 KW HAS kit (which makes sense). Max low rear, 9 turns from the max low on the front (little lower than half way) this was right after install. I raised the front 2 turns. For my final adjustment.

Does your front end click when you turn side to side or when parking?

Yeah, it clicks. The mechanic put it back up on the alignment rack, to recheck the alignment. The rack has those floating wheel trays in the front. And he had the other guy move it back and forth and he said he thought it could have been the cv joint. The ABi pics are at the shop, right after the car got parked. 3rd pic, not backed in, is about 75 miles later. Looks perfect for how I want it. I wish it wasn't going to settle anyone, but I know it will.

That's max drop on the rear?
Seems like a tad higher than KW HAS.
Front seems the same as KW HAS on the adjustment, but you won't be able to go down that much more since you'll be sitting on the bump stop.

Yes, rear is all the way low. Front is just over halfway to the lowest setting. I kind of figured they wouldn't be as low as KW because there are quite a few less threads than the KWs.

I had a little bit of clicking, even stock. The clicking sounds the same, but it just does it more when you steer, while you're stopped. I can't hear it while I'm driving.

Interesting. Both of my G80's where silent until I had KW installed. But since I had Ben at RG looked at every single thing he could. And I mean EVERYTHING. I am not sure what to think about what is causing it. But damn it sure is annoying.

I sold a perfectly fine highly optioned chalk 2020 911 S back to Porsche over a engine clicking noise. I order a custom M3X. It never comes. I find a black G80 M3 RWD and settle. Only for my original custom order to show up a month later! Which I traded in the month old black one for. And now this car clicks! I should have just keep the damn 911!

Argh!

That's pretty low for the front considering it's OEM HAS and not fully maxed out. How is the ride quality?
I have MSS V1 front sits higher, about two index finger space at max low.

Looks great OP. I don't have any clicking sound w/MSS

Yeah, the front still has more in it. It's lowered based on how far the rear can go. It's dropped 16 measured millimeters, front and rear. So, it's possible for the front to go lower. I just wanted it even.

Ride quality feels like comfort is now Sport. Rebound it's quicker and sharper. It rides like a Cadillac on a smooth highway. I drove it home on some of the worst roads California has to offer, yesterday. Lots of closed lanes and construction, and you can definitely tell a difference on bad roads. I'd just driven those roads down to get to the shop, and coming back, it was like you just switched the car to sport.
