We don't have any sound clips for this system, but StudieAG has installed one and filmed a clip.

Whew that M tax is a little hefty! Really interested how this sounds. I do like that it comes with the carbon diffuser.

I might try to hold out till another sale comes along

Sub'd for updates!

Great pictures, IND. I dont think its really a bad price, considering the stock Carbon diffuser, itself, is $4,800. I know everyone swore this exhaust was going to be $10,000.

I'll get one, when I'm done getting everything else. I spent this kind of money on full PPF, and tint, already, anyway.

Anyone have any price estimates on how much it will cost to get this bad boy installed at the dealer? I don't really want to cut the bumper and pipes myself.

Hope to see an American car without OPF running this exhaust to hear the difference.

I would not let a BMW dealer do that install!!!! No fucking way. If your spending 9 G's to buy it, take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Just me opinion. 🤟🏻

I dont think its going to be too bad. Dealers usually lose money installing accessories, because it's an incentive for people to buy the add ons. I had a bunch of accessories installed on my 21 Accord Touring, last year. Everyone of the options, heated steering wheel, puddle lights, Illuminated door sills, door panel projectors, mud flaps, and side skirts, quoted 2-3 times, installation duration, as what the job actually paid out. The puddle lights quoted 4 hour install time, which actually took the installer about 5 hours, it paid 1.5. Heated wheel was the same way. 2 hour install time with alignment verification, paid .50.

I also heard the exhaust has 3 sets of dimples where you do the cutting, and you just cut the middle set of dimples. Maybe someone else can verify this?

I would because I took my car to a bmw specialty shop and the guy broke my lug nut when installing rims and put on a cheap lug nut and made me wait 8 months to get the regular one put back on. With bmw dealers if they mess up I know they can fix it, especially with an oem part I'm sure there's some warranty too. I don't want to go to any third party places anymore. Also a reason why I'm leaning for this more than Remus.

I don't have any problem with the dealer installing it. The guy that always works on my car, spends like 30 minutes reading his laptop, before he ever puts a tool on my car. I brought my car in for the passenger door panel lights not working. He spent at least 30-40 minutes reading and troubleshooting, before he removed the door panel, and just found the door harness disconnected. If it was me, I would have immediately gotten the door panel off, because whatever it is, nothing on the passenger door panel was working, not the locks, window switch, or the ambient lighting. He was in the trunk checking fuses, and everything. Totally by the book. Plus, let them screw it up, its an OEM part.

This exhaust is starting to grow on me. I much prefer sticking to OEM parts whenever possible.

The install guide for the exhaust quotes about 2.5hrs of work so I'd imagine the dealerships would bill the same or slightly more.

If you have the carbon diffuser on the car already, can you swap it out for these pieces and resell it? Maybe that helps close the cost gap a bit.

Insane. Dundon 911 GT3 exhaust pricing…at least that product sounds incredible and actually makes more power.

Yeah, we have that exhaust for a while now in europe and well, it looks hideous and the price is just ridiculous. And with the OPF it sounds just about the same as stock, so it does nothing except making the car look worse and depleting your bank account.

I'm guessing folks who like this exhaust are going for the looks primarily which is understandable, it's a departure from the traditional look.

For those that are going for the sound and trying to retain their warranty are going to be disappointed. The sound might be few decibels higher, but nothing significant (listen to video below). They may be tempted to add a midpipe, but then that'll void the warranty. Personally I wouldn't worry about warranty, I've had an exhaust on all my sports car and not once did the dealer give me grief. Never had any issues by replacing with an after market exhaust.

Price is ridiculous too for the sound, $8180 + $200 shipping + $1600-1900 (optional midpipe) = $10k

To each their own, if you're happy with the exhaust then go for it.

Even if it wasn't overpriced as hell, looks like Ricer crap to me and I don't see the sound "improvement" as being worth $500, much less what this costs. To each his own, but I'm still waiting for a cat back that actually sounds good and doesn't cost as much as a used Nissan Sentra.

I have the cheap $500 knock off to tie me over. I went to add the carbon exterior package to my car, on that morning my car switched to 150. Probably the only mistake I made, ordering the car. I figure I saved $4,700 by not getting the OEM carbon exterior, I'm over halfway to the price of this exhaust.
