just found this video of G80 with catless downpipe and full Akrapovic Exhaust System.

by far it is the best akra sound for G80 + G82

maybe the trick is to add a catless downpipe to it

Great find.

Most Akrapovic videos I've seen they kept the stock secondary cats, which I believe makes the exhaust quieter (sounding similar to stock). With no cats, it seems to sound like it should, finally. I wish they would have revved outside as well. Overall not bad.

Regardless of the brand, you will get a check engine light unless you have a custom flash tune that hides it or sensor foulers

Sorry to thread jack but Kies has been testing it on their car I believe... so should be relatively soon.

Akra is great but just too pricey for me... had their system on my old ZX6-R but that was it.

I got to hear it in person on Autocouture's shop car while picking up my G80 while it was in for some goodies. Sounds great in person. Also the tip design looks much better in person as well.

+1. The bangs and pops are unnecessary.

A midpipe (Akrapovic calls these "link pipes") is a must for an Akrapovic system to make it a full EVO system, as they simply sound neutered without them. Unfortunately, the "long" Akrapovic link pipes will not be imported to US, only short link pipes - which are still emissions compliant.
