Was yours bent or deformed in any way when you took it out? Just wondering how the clutch stop went in easily (relatively) and impossible to take out.

Just curious but why did you take yours out? If mine ends up retaining its structure, I'm going to remove a spacer and reuse it or otherwise I'll need to get another one.
I took it out because I was getting some noise on clutch engagement. I noticed that it wasn’t in at quite the right angle.

It was slightly bent when it came out. I got the angle right the second time and re-installed it and have not had any trouble since.

Not the pliers but the other two. I had to use those when I took mine out to re-install it.
Well I got them and tried but it's still stuck. Honestly there wasn't enough room to have good leverage to force it out.

Wow. Not sure what else to suggest since that worked for me.

Since BMS clutch stop isn't working for me, I decided to try to buy a bolt and do it myself. I googled BMW DIY clutch stop and I found old forums for E generation BMWs. Most of them talk about M10 bolts with 1.5mm pitch size.

Does anyone know if the same dimensions apply for this generation? I don't want to cross thread the hole

You have to remember that the BMS clutch stop is universal, not just made for the m3/m4.. You have to figure out the depth of the hole once you have the oem rubber/silicone clutch stop out, cut the BMS clutch stop based on the length inside the hole, then trim the teeth with a blade to make the install and removal easy.
In my case, I had to buy 2 clutch stops to use 4 rubber spacers, which makes it perfect for me, no issues with auto rev match etc..
Just don't buy the clutch stop and start shoving it as/is like a crazy person..

Revisiting this. Any other options out there?

The clutch stop works fine and installs just fine. The hole is actually at an angle so I noticed that it looks like we need need to push it in straight but that’s when we have the issue that it doesn’t seat fully in. If you angle it a tad to the angle of the hole (if that makes sense) it goes in smoothly

I have E90 and G80, both with 6MT. I have BMS clutch stop on both cars. Same thickness of rubber bushings on both cars. No issues whatsoever
