I do have the BMS clutch stop, I had to apply quite a bit of force to fully seat it in.

frankiebones do you by chance drive with rev match off all times? Thinking mine might be coming back out this afternoon. At the very least, ensuring it is indeed in all the way.
I drive with rev match off all the time. given the fact that i had shoulder surgery 11 days ago on my right shoulder (i'm typing this with one hand) it will be some time before i can report back lol.

previous f80 rev matched fine with the same clutch stop installed.

Bad memories bro,,, bad memories lol.

frankiebones feel better man!

I think since he does the rev matching himself it's fine but for the computer to do it the clutch stop is confusing the car and the my distance theory is probably to blame.

I'm glad it's only $10 lol.

I think I might take a picture of the teeth of mine and post for you all to see.

I am now wondering if I didn't have it all the way in. I don't see how I could push any harder, but there was a good 1/4" of tooth play left to go before it hit washer. Does this sound like it wasn't all the way in to those not experiencing issues?

Mine is all the way in, the soft washer is up against the body piece.

Put it in and then slammed on my clutch to push it. However, it doesn't feel stable… it wiggles a bit. I'm not sure I can push it in any harder as the contact surface is starting to get damaged from the force.

Also, I notice the auto rev matching isn't working anymore even though feature is selected. Does this mean I didn't install it correctly?

Probably not seated all the way down or too tall. I only used two of the spacers and my rev match works fine. I’d also check that you didn’t bend it while hitting the clutch instead of pushing it all the way in.

Good luck!

I just removed mine. The pad came off and I was seeing high RPM grinds 1-2. Issue went away when removed.

I installed mine today, I must say if this was more than $10 I would be pretty upset. Not a quality product, probably costs $2 to make, and the amount of force needed to get it to seat right caused mine to instantly bend. Clutch feels slightly better, but in my opinion I am chalking this one up to an "L"

I think it did bend initially… never got it to go in all the way properly despite significant elbow grease. Honestly made me a bit nervous as the neck was starting to bend and some of the plastic ribs to fray. Just took it out and went back to stock. It looks too beat up for me to brave trying it again. I dunno if I want to wager another $10 to try another unit.

I tend to agree based on my experience also. Disappointing…

I think the real solution here would be finding a rubber grommet like the oem one that is slightly thicker.

I installed the clutch stop and went for a drive. I tried to take it out afterwards to take out a spacer but the thing wouldn't come out no matter how much I tried.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I spent about 30 mins trying to remove it. At this point, I feel like I will need to take the car to a auto shop and have them try removing it.

Do you have a trim removal tool? Some thing like these: https://www.amazon.com/GOOACC-Clip-P...s%2C102&sr=8-9

Not the pliers but the other two. I had to use those when I took mine out to re-install it.

Mine isn't stuck though. It's still spinning around when I try to unscrew it and I can wiggle it back and forth and up and down. But it still doesn't come out. Would these still work then?

Mine was the same. I could wiggle it and it would spin but I couldn’t get it out with my hand or a flat head screw driver. If you have one or could borrow one from a friend, give it a try.

Thanks much. Ordered it. I guess you just have to force it out, right?

Was yours bent or deformed in any way when you took it out? Just wondering how the clutch stop went in easily (relatively) and impossible to take out.

Just curious but why did you take yours out? If mine ends up retaining its structure, I'm going to remove a spacer and reuse it or otherwise I'll need to get another one.
