I was initially planning on removing both resonators and putting an x-pipe but if removing one is enough to notice, then I'll just try this mod.

I'm still at work, so I can't watch the video but I'll definitely check it out later this evening.
BTW I'm not into loud exhausts, hence the reason I don't consider removing the secondary cats.
Just looking to get a subtle increase in exhaust note.

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't do both personally, I believe it will be too loud. That's me though

I appreciate your feedback.
By that statement, I take it that one resonator delete makes it noticeably louder than stock. Not LOUDER, but loud enough to notice.

I did remove just the primary resonator. Compared to the M2C cold start, it's not as loud. You'll also notice an increase in noise when you have the car in gear with MT when stationary. Waiting for my VSC-2 to arrive and open the valves.

Ah, okay. I was hoping to bring it up to about M2C noise or slightly higher.
Thanks for the comparison.

I'm really tossing up the idea of doing this or the other exhaust mod for the flaps. No one lives in my area I know with a G80 and done this mod to determine if it's feasible to do.

I did the first resonator delete and I think this is enough. No difference in comfort mode except the throttle is slightly deeper. In Sport Plus mode, the deeper sound is just deep enough, I can't imagine liking it if I had both resonators removed. There is no difference in loudness per se, just deeper sound. I contemplated getting Secondary cats removed but I think it will be too obnoxious to my neighbors.

I totally agree. But I don't even hear the rasp. Had it for 2 weeks now and enjoying the improvement.

20 Minutes for Resonator Delete

That is amazing time!
Yes. 20 minutes max. I called the shop and they said they can do it when I arrive. They were very good and efficient. Two guys were on it but one was just holding the pipe here and there. Charged me 200 dollars, and I am pretty happy.
